Shower, Bath, or both

How do you prefer to bath? I personally love them both. Bathing is sadly one of my great joys in life. I cant imagine a life with out nice hot water to wash it all away... not just the dirt, but the stress, the sleep, the pain. A good hot shower can clean it all out for me. How about you?

I prefer to have a shower. Why? Because I love the feeling of the warm to hot water cleaning me entirely. A good 15 minute shower will do for me. I sometimes, will have a 10 minute shower. I love when the water can hit my entire body. I would rather have an shower over a bath. If I take a bath, it will be when I need to unwind, or if I have sore muscles or so. That would be the only reason. If I have cramping in my Uterus from my MS, then this will be a good time to soak in a nice warm tub.

Yes I agree... bathing is more of a relaxation for me than away of cleaning myself, but a warm shower makes you feel so cleansed and ready to take on another day. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

That is my type of bath... a bath shower. Sounds like heaven. What a great way to wash away all of the stress of the day to day. Thanks for sharing and happy mylotting.

I love showers. I used to take only baths but now it's only showers. I like to get in and out quick (unless I'm sick then I stay in there forever), I don't like sitting in rapidly cooling dirty water and since I'm getting older it's hard for me to get up and down in the tub. Yeah, I used to love playing in the tub for hours or just lying in there reading. I don't do that anymore. ~~MY OWN PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF**

I used to prefer baths as well, but I like showers more and more. Its interesting how tastes change with age.

I like both of them. I tend to shower more though just because it is faster and i usually don't have time. We have a jacuzzi bath tub though so it is very nice when i do have time to lay and relax in there.

Yea it does take for ever to fill up. I don't use it to often because of that reason i am so impatient. When i do have time though i use it.

A shower is much more efficient, that jacuzzi tub sounds nice, but I bet it takes forever to fill up... Im still super envious!!!

I actually don't take baths, I take an extremely hot shower everyday that lasts at least 30 minutes. I only remember taking bubble baths when I was little. I shower in the bathtub with the showerhead on top. In my basement, we have an actual vertical shower, which you can't take baths in, but we don't use that. I find my showers very stress relieving too, and refreshing.

I also have a shower head on top of my bathtub, but the vertical showers are nice too.

I love having baths, but only if I've showered within the last 24 hours - I'm not quite sure why, but I never feel like I'm getting fully clean when I take a bath. Usually because baths are more time consuming I just choose to take a shower and only have a bath once a year (literally) or so. Though I love baths and have plenty of things like bath cubes and salts, I tend to avoid taking them since they use so much valuable time and I feel cleaner taking a shower, anyway.

I agree, I never feel fully clean after a bath either, but it is sooo relaxing to have a warm bath and read a book. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

Hi glords! I do so agree with you! I just love to take a nice long hot shower! At least a hot shower in the cool weather! In the summer I like to take a nice cool shower to wash the heat and sweat off of me! But now when the weather is getting cooler I just love taking a nice hot shower to wash the stress and everything like you said away! I sometimes will just stand under the water and let it beat down on me because it just feels so good! It is the most wonderful feeling ever! I love to be clean and there is no feeling like a nice long shower! I will sometimes take a bubble bath too. But, the I will wash the bubbles off in a hot shower!

Brr a cold shower.... I just couldn't handle that, not even in the summer, it would be like tickling my funny bone.... maybe just luke warm.

I usually take showers more often than baths because it's refreshing and cleans all the dirt off. Baths are calm...but take a long time.

I have to agree with you--I like both baths and showers, each for different reasons. I can't start the day without having either a bath or a shower. I need to have that "just-cleaned" feeling to get going in the morning. Whenever I try to get cleaned the night before, I might save time in the morning but I end up not feeling right and it usually ends up being a very cranky day for me. On days I go to work, I always shower. It simply gets the job done faster. I can wash my hair and scrub my body in less than 10 minutes and be out the door faster. Plus, the stream of hot water is a good way to get myself fully awake. I'm not a morning person, so I need all the help I can get. Baths, on the other hand, serve an entirely different purpose for me. If I'm feeling stressed just want to pamper myself, a bath gives me a bit of luxury. I usually have them in the evening or on Sundays when I'm off work and have no immediate plans. I like to use the good bubble bath or bath salts. Then I get in and just lay there for an hour or so. Soooooooooo relaxing! I have been known to fall asleep in the tub. I like to think of it as multitasking.

That is sooo true, the bath is not exactly a pick me up in the morning! I'd probably fall asleep again in the tub on some days, but when I'm home sick and don't have to go anywhere it is always a bath day.

I feel the same way. I like nice hot bubbly bubble baths occasionally but I usually take really hot showers even if I'm not dirty, You're right it's a great stress reliever.

lol bubbly bubble baths are the best kind of bubble baths... if you arent a 17 month old who likes to eat them... then not so bubbly bubble baths are better. Thanks for posting and happy mylotting.

I like both. Usually I take showers, they are quicker, but every now and then I also like bahts. Then its usually some nice music like il Divo, candle lights, a glass of vine..scented water, bublles,...yeah I always make a thing of it lol. So basicly showers are for everyday use, baths for taking some load off me, relaxation, enjoying...its like a meditation...same effect lol

I prefer only bath rather than shower. I love bath. Ya, it is right we can't imagine a life without a bath. I think we can't imagine a day with out bath. The normal hot water gives some thing relief to our minds. I used to bath twice in a day. If I didn't bath at least once in a day I am not able to sleep. Shower bath is so nice for head bath. I feel so free when I take bath. Happy to sharing your views. Happy myLotting.

I love to bathe twice a day as well. I give my 17 month old baby two baths a day and he loves them. He loves the shower too, but it is much harder to give him a shower, so it is usually baths. Some people tell me not to bathe him so often for fear it will dry out his skin, but if its a gift I give myself I want him to have that happiness too.

Hello, me too, I can't imagine life without bath. It's the best thing to do, since I am at work for more than 8hours and bath serves as one of the greatest gift for yourself each day. You could surely give yourself more than one gift a day. lol
