Is christian rap really worth a 1000 preyers?

If a song is worth 1000 prayers are all genras of music the same? I grew up on old time gospel and blue grass and just recently started listening to modern contemparary and rap. Does it matter what kind of music it is as long as it praises the LORD?

I think that it does not matter about what type it is as long as its meeting your need for music. I listen to a huge array of music. I definatly sensor what my children listens to, especially at night while they are drifting off to sleep. I do listen to music that I might not normally gravitate to for learning more about the people that listen to it. Just an added note on my take on music.
