As for me i like to read suspence thrillers, horror stories, Real ghosts stories, Sc-fiction. What i like about it is the imagination used to write the story, ofcourse real stories dont require much of imagination. Each and every plot so nicely woven and intertwined that you dont get to forget the first page when you reach the last one!! I sometimes find it wierd that i like books like these but that's the way i am!! So what is it that you like to read???

I'm predominantly a fiction fan, although I have a decent library of non-fiction material. My current addiction is PNR or paranormal romance novels. They are romance novels with a fantasy twists. Common characters would include vampires, demons, weres, fae, etc. There are plenty of good authors in this genre, and my to-be-read list is getting longer and longer. Reading is my favorite hobby, and I enjoy the escapism that fiction gives me when I read.

I am not that much of a fiction fan but i like to read fiction at times. but i sure am intrested in paranormal stuff not paranormal romance. Paranormal stories are just beyond explaination and that is what i like about them.

I really like to read books that have had a movie made after it as well. It sounds weird but I like to compare the detail between the movie and the book. Though I can visually see the detail on a movie, the book stimulates a different part of the brain by describing the details and it takes me to a whole new demension of what is going on. One that I can vividly remember that I used to love reading was Pet Cemetary. The detail in the book seemed to be much greater than that of the movie. Though now with me being a mother-to-be and a wife, I love to read books on parenting, love and relationships. Can anyone recommend any good books for parenting and relationships???

Hi, welcome to mylot. Well as for me i dont like to read books that already have a movie made, I have tries to accept the movie but i failed as the description and the emotion shown in a book does not match up in the movie and they seem dull! S i prefer the book than the movie .

I was really bad at history when in school!! I used to forget all the dates and years related to a perticular incident. Since you like reading subjects in history i am sure you must be good with dates too??!!

I like any book that has continous action. I find a lot of books by famous authors drag out scenes and have low levels of action sometimes taking up whole bunches of chapters. The last author to disappoint me this way was Nelson Demille with his " The Charm School " that dragged quite a bit. Now I'm having the same experience with Robert Ludlum and his " The Matarese Countdown " which has a lot of blustering dialogue that stretches the action and that seems to be quite ordinary. The author who has never disappointed me is John Le Carre. He has a new book out now, I can't remember the name right this minute but it should be good.

its the same with me too, i simply hate books that go on and on till the end. Even if i feel the the author id draging the story i just close the book never to open it again. It just irritates me to read one thing over and over again with diffrent vocabulary!!

I really love romance novels. I've never had a boyfriend so love stories are only "true" in works of fiction for me. I think when I find that special someone, I won't like reading love stories so much anymore because I'd have something that is really real to live. I also like some young adult books like the Harry Potter and Twilight series.

i somehow have never really liked romantic novels cause i feel that everything written there is so unrealistic. Enjoy your time while you are single, there is too much of heart ache when there is somebody else also in your life!

When I was young I like fantasy books and love stories but as I grow older, my book preferences changed as well. Now I like fiction, philosophy, economic and books on parenting and health. But I seldom read books now because of my busy schedule. I am a mommy working online so I don't have much time to read. The last book I've read was da vinci code and Deception point by Dan Brown.

I like just about the same things! I like the horror stories but not the ones that have graphic descriptions of ax murders and stuff like that. (Please, authors, leave it to my imagination!!) I just finished a book called The Trinity Vector with is science fantasy about an item that mysteriously appears and says there is no God. It was a great book! I'm now started a series by Fern Micheals called The Sisterhood series, a friend at work has loaned me the first four books--A group of women who have been wronged and betrayed by the justice system get together to mete out true justice for those who have wronged them. They plan to continue and help others after they take care of their own problems.

i would love to read "The trinity vector". The itself is so intresting ,i am sure the content too would be. The Sisterhood would be too much of a serious book for me so i would stick to The Trinity Vector. Thank you for the names of the books.

It seems like I mainly now read philosophy, psychology or chemistry books as of now. Pretty much all non-fiction When I was younger, I favored horror and fiction.

when I was still a teenager I used to read novels but now I prefer self-developmental books and biographical books which are more sensible than novels. I loved the books of Dr. Leo Buscaglia, JOhn Grey and M.Scott Peck, they great writers for self-developmental books. another favorite author of mine is Bo Sanchez, a filipino catholic preacher who authores several books about spiritual journey and self-improvements.

I like to read inspirational and motivation books, I just get inspired or motivated easily from these kinds of books. I like to read story books too, sci-fiction, kung-fu novels, and also history. I also like to read the real history or stories about those famous people.

i prefer fiction books over non-fiction. it doesn't really matter what type it is. i read all kinds of books, as long as it's fiction. i enjoy reading the details and trying to imagine what it is really like. i'll read, then try conjure the scene in my mind, including the furniture and the weather. it's really fun doing this and i just don't get tired of it. cheers

I love most fiction. I love mysteries, suspense, spy and science fiction. I have many authors I love and can't wait for the next book they write. That you love to read is all that matters. All of us have our own likes and dislikes, and that doesn't make you wierd. Reading is a kind of escape and entertainment in my opinion, so we should all read what we enjoy! Good for you.

I like to read lots of different types of fiction, from sci-fi and fantasy, to mystery/suspense, to horror, comedy and historical fiction. I read one genre for a while, then move on to another, etc. About the only thing I don't read much of, is romance. They are a bit too drippy and predictable for me.

I read almost anything really, as long as the content and writing style it catches my interest. But I do prefer fantasy and fiction, sort of like the LOTR, WOT, Harry Potter and Eragon kind of stuff. hehe.

I grew up reading novels such as the ones you enjoy reading. During my late teens I started reading auto-biographies and have been captured by them ever since. I enjoy reading real stories by real people. It's not that I lack imagination but the fact that I can try to relate to a plot or event is what I enjoy!
