The great man is he who does not lose his child's heart. Mencius And I find it most apt. The infallible innocence, the urge to learn and re learn and having fun even with the grotesque of moments in life is but what the child in us does. Share the most sweet, adorable, beautiful thing the child in you did of late.

Spinning a top, playing marbles, trying to fly kite, the way i used to decades ago, musical chairs and there was those stimulated Superman antics. Have i grown up ? They were all for the benefit of my nephew and his friends who had were having a gala time a couple of weeks ago. They sure back memories Mimpi, and guess what i, i did not question this instinct for one moment. It felt good and sure brought the sparkle in the eyes of the kids.

You can neve grow up, can you? The child in you is just an exemplary one with all that it takes to redefine childhood. Thanks to your nephew and his Chachu.

Hmmm. I tend to break into silly little dances at the most unexpected moments at home, but I am not sure if this would be considered as the child within me coming out or not. I think so! I also make up my own words to songs and use them to make fun of a situation or to tease my wife so this may come under the category as well. All I know is that neither of these things are generally expected of a grown man!

Riyasam! The world needs laughter and is way too serious as it stands! A time will come many years from now when both you and your husband are old and grey; and you will think back to those moments when he was playing around a little bit and smile from deep within!

Until now, I cant let go of stuff toys I kept. I grab it whenver im lonely or need someone to talk to who will not give back bad comments. Id love to cuddle them right beside me when im alone and need reassurance that I can do best. I am also a childlike person when I cannot just put aside little things that I want to have like having indulge with much more chocolate and ice cream whenever possible. Have a nice day!!

You are certainly a child at heart. My sister is like that. Her husband buys her dolls and cuddles still...

Hi mimpi! Occasionally I still play yoyo and still frustrated to learn some tricks, lol. Sometimes I dance with James and act like a child. Back In my home country, I used to play Chinese garter with my nieces and its fun though.

I see much of my childlike dispositions through yours Cjay. The child in me takes over when with the kids and my neices and nephew are most adorable to indulge in my stupid acts. Yo Yo is still my game Cjay!

When I was younger, I liked Chinese garter so much that I tried doing that with an uncle's clothesline. It wasn't so flexible!!!

Have you read some of my discussions, mimpi? I am always a child at heart. Sometimes, a spoiled child at that too. I like to boogie woogie. I like to hold hands with someone and just run as fast as we can. A few nights ago, I felt like jumping on my bed so I did. And a few days ago, I marveled at the sight of the horizon as the sun set. And tonight, I marveled at how beautiful the full moon is and wondered again how it would be if it really is made of cheese.

Please allow me to give a short answer. When I am in jolly mood, I would stand in front of a mirror and would make different faces as a little child does. And sometimes I feel like gobbling toffees one after another. I remember in my childhood I was very found of toffees and would eat many in a day.

Short answers are always welcome if its substantial. So you fight with your children over toffees....

Welcome back, Mimpi, with the avatar I like so much! Well if my inner child did anything adorable lately I have surely forgotten what it is, but she must have, as my wonderful husband just came over and gave me a sweet kiss on the top of my head. The child in me loves Mencius, though. What a venerable philosopher: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/ab/Mencius_-_Project_Gutenberg_eText_15250.jpg/200px-Mencius_-_Project_Gutenberg_eText_15250.jpg

Hi Ann Thanks for everything. And I do see the child in you writing this with the innocent sparkles in her eyes! I just checked Mencius. Great philosopher he was! Thanks dear for the reference. And here what I liked: Mencius said, “To nourish the mind, there is nothing better than to purge it of desires.”

Now that I am a mother, I love reliving some relly fun moments with my three year old daughter. Both of us get up at night to have our favorite cup of icecream. As the maxim goes: CHILD IS THE FATHER OF MAN. My daughter is one step ahead of me in loving to paint and getting wet in rain. So whenever there is a downpour in our backyard, mommy and daughter rush to dance in the rain.Never have I felt so blessed. Thanks for bringing out the child in us.
