When a woman changed her mind about joining the Sons of Dixie, which is a Louisiana chapter of the Ku Klux Klan, she was shot to death. Eight members of the group have been arrested. http://www.arcamax.com/religiousnews/s-442289-120473 This is really sad.

Hi Bd20089, This is a very sad story. I could only imagine how scared this woman must have been. She went as far as going to the initiation and then seeing what it was truly about or just being plain scared must have changed her mind. Maybe I watch too much TV but much like some of the "gangs" in the cities, once you try to join and get accepted, there is no turning back. If you change your mind, they are going to have to make sure you can not identify them in the future, they have to protect themselves. That is why he shot her, it does not make it right, however it is in their creed or what ever they may call it, the leaders have to protect the rest of them. I am sure the only reason they got caught is due to the others going to the store and asking about how to remove the blood stains. Maybe that will be one day on the TV show, The Dumbest Criminals.

This is so sad. I weasn't aware that the Klu Klax Klan was still in existance. I am so glad that the persons concerned have been arrested. However, this does not bring the women back to life. What is it with these people? why are they so filled with hate? I just don't understand it at all. Perhaps the women was led into thinking it was not the KKK but a different organization and then she found out the truth.

Yes, very hearbreaking. Apparently she did not really weigh the consequences. I just hated that she did not change her mind prior to going. They probably was afraid that she would tell and expose them. I do feel bad for her. It seems like a senseless killing. Now they will no doubt go to prison.

Man, that's definately sad. On the other hand, your saying she "changed mind". So she did want to join that clan but later changed mind or something? It's good that 8 of the group are arrested though. In my country they probaly would get away with it. Ugh! RIP.

It is some kind of cult or other religious group? Sorry I'm not aware of Ku Klux Klan. So the woman changed her mind of not joining the KKK and that's why their killed her. It's so terrifying news and I pity the woman and her family. I just don't get it on why she wants to join the group.

It's a terrible thing. But, if they keep coming out of the woodwork like this, maybe we can get them out of circulation! We don't need this kind of nonsense in our country.
