Did you go to your high schoo prom?

i got engaged at christmas my senior year. the idiot that i was engaged to would not spend the money for a tux. i was asked by 3 male friends to go as friends. the idiot i was engaged to refused to let me go. i was very disappointed. that was 30 years ago and if i was told today i couldn't do something, i would laugh. that is why i'm not married to that idiot anymore. i work in our high school and i stress to seniors all the time not to miss their prom. and i tell them my little story.

I didn't go; I liked thsi guy, but he asked this other girl and started this rumor that I said some he said, she said mess; made me cry and It was decided for me not to go. One of the things I feel bad on.

Yes I went to my high school prom my sophomore,junior,and senior years. It was fun the prom lasted for about 45 minutes, then everyone left the prom and went partying somewhere else or got a hotel. I was one of the only 3 couples left at the prom because I had a curfew. I had to be home by 12am.

no i didn't go because i dropped out of school and got my GED. i graduated a year early. i just didn't like those type of things anyways. i went to homecoming and thought it was boring.

I didn't have a prom because I was attending a private school in Hollywood. Besides me, there were only four other graduates and it was an all girls school. I could have went to Hollywood High, which was not far away, but I opted to stay where I was and stay out of trouble. I am not really a prom type of person. Maybe I am just too practical for all of that. To me, it just seems like to much fuss for one day. I was pretty mature for my age and going to a dance with a boy just to show off a dress and take pictures, just seem so silly to me. Maybe, it was because I was shy, I don't know, but I do not regret not going. There are a lot of things that I have enjoyed, but in this, I don't feel that I missed anything special.
