Have you ever been a parking lot waiting for someone to pull out of a space and thet just don't?! I mean, they know that you are waiting there desperate for a spot yet they remain in their car in idol time. Then, as soon as you decide to pass up the spot for one further away, they all of a sudden feel the need to drive out of that spot. What is up with that?

well i have done that probably 3 times only... each of those times the person was literally sticking to my tail lights not backing up so that i could get out.. im driving a minivan and you a teeny tiny car.. who will wreck who up the most you think lol So i turn off the ignition and just sit there... when they leave i leave. I have allll day im in no hurry you are the one not letting me get out with at least a little bit of space to maneuver... you are the one that is trying to get to the stores im done for the day im set. However, if the person is a reasonable distance back where i can back out and get out i do so as quickly as possible... some people even if you honk and signal then that you need more space do the opposite.. the get closer to your vehicle... so.. that is what is up with that =P

So that is an explanation...hmmmm...interesting. Well, my family and I give more than enough room, so I guess that doesn't apply to us! But it can explain why other people may not give up their spots.

Sometimes I just like making people mad that are waiting on my parking spot especially if I have a spot really close the store. I'm not obligated, nor is it a law that I have to move my car right away if someone is waiting on my spot so I can take my time. It really just depends on my mood if I leave or if I wait awhile and frustrate the person waiting on my spot.

But i ask whhyyyyyyyyy? That is funny, though. Maybe that is how those people are thinking because they know you are waiting!

I know what you mean!!! I had that happen just yesterday! The mall is obnoxiously crowded these days. I don’t really care where I park if its just me, but if I have my daughter I like to park closer because its just easier plus now that it is getting cold out I like to park closer so she isn’t outside for so long. Anyway my point is I understand!!! I hate when people get in there car and do there checkbook or look at what they just bought, make phone calls (I guess better then doing it while driving) and so on. When I get in my car I pull out of my space. If I need to do some thing in my car I will move to another part of the parking lot just to give up my space. Especially if some one is waiting for it! A few weeks ago I was driving downtown and there is NO parking plus its all parallel parking. Anyway I see this guy get in his car so I put my turn signal on and wait and wait and wait the guy behind me was honking but what could I do? I needed the parking space and the guy just wouldn’t move!! I even honked at him a few times!!! Finally he moved and I got the space but wow it took 10 minutes!!!

I am not driving yet, but I can imagine it's a whole other world out on the road of people expressions of anger and jealousy and entitlement to own the street. I can just imagine!

I've been there waiting for a spot too many times and I swear these people have brain delay or just messed up in the head to hold a spot cause it's a close spot and they want to cherish the spot as if it's their house and their drive way! I mean unbelievable and sometimes I wish I could just drive by and leave some tacks on ground so when they finally come out they get their tires poped for being a complete A-hole!

Well truthfully they are probably lazy dont want to have to walk. Unless its a disable parking then they should have that right to have it if u are not handicap. Me i dont care how far i have to walk i like to walk so if they are handicap and ur not let them have it

They could simply think that your going to continue and so don't want to cause an accident and get sued. Or they could be changing the radio station...
