Question about food stamps

I have been having trouble lately buying food for myself after paying rent and tuition to school. My question to you guys is, does any one know if a student loan that pays for school and some of my rent count against me in getting food stamps? None of the money i have can go towards food otherwise I cannot pay what i owe to my school and will be homeless. So do you think it will count against me, meaning will it count as assests (since you can only have 2000 dollars in assests)?

It can count against you. They look at all of the money that you have in the bank and the cash you have on hand; it doesn't matter what the source of the money is. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that you won't qualify; that will just affect how much you do qualify for. Have you looked at Angel Food Ministries (http://www.angelfoodministries.com/). For $30 you can get a box of food that is enough to feed a family of four for a week. There are no income restrictions.

I doubt it would. I read on one of your other discussions you do surveys. I'd like to point out Opinion Outpost. They pay pretty well. Just put in there name & dot.com. Also Mturk.com & SendEarnings. If you want any of the links let me know. Just trying to help you earn because I know how it goes.

Also this excellent blog http://www.yourfreesurveys.com/wordpress/ can give you info on Survey companies thats helpful. Its not a referral link nor is it my blog. Its just one I have in my favorites to look up new survey companies I come across. That being said here is another that I use to look up earn money sites. Sometimes it has interesting info I check it often http://paidopps.blogspot.com/ this is not a referral link or my blog either.

I have not been on food stamps... but have you looked into the local food pantries? they aren't as picky KWIM? GL to you as we are in the same boat trying to keep the bills current and very low on funds for the necessities.
