http://www.bmezine.com/news/pubring/20041214.html if i had to wear glasses i would think this isnt a horrible idea since im not against piercings.. god knows it wouldnt slide off of your face all the time which is the most annoying thing about glasses i think.. would you be willing to wear your glasses through a piercing??

This is an interesting concept. Not one I think I would go for. I wear glasses and have a lot of piercings but I can just see several factors that would put me off wearing these. Firstly although I would like to get the bridge of my nose pierced, I don't like the idea of haveing to spend ages attaching the lenses on and off when you need to. I wouldn't want to sleep with the lenses still attached to my face. ALso I would be a bit worried about the amount of pressure these would put on your nose. I can see this becomeing quite fashionable but I think I'll let the bandwagon pass!

That's a good point, with how thick my lenses are I'd probably end up stretching the piercing.

OMG! As interesting as it may look, there is no way I would have my glasses permanently attached to my face. For crying out loud. It's a shame that for the creativity it took for them to think this up that they missed the mark by a mile. DCMerkle

no I would not do that, one it is dangerous, what if the glasses rip the piercings or someone rips the glasses off you, nope I wouldn't do it at all.

that is exactly my point, the longer the item or the heavier the more chance of ripping to occur

I wouldn't. I would hate to have that spot pierced and I'd hate to have to have people know I wear glasses all the time. I only wear my glasses to do important things where I have to see. I don't enjoy seeing clearly all the time, it gives me a headache. But I do hate wearing glasses and I hate how they slip. But I don't hate it enough to get a piercing there.

I couldn't access the link anymore. Do you still have the picture you are refering to? Can you post it for all to see? It would be interesting to see how it looks like! It never fails to amazed me what people would do to their bodies with piercing! Their tolerance for pain must be really great!

Oh, as in the sunglasses that Morpheus was wearing? And this man pierced his nose bridge inorder to put a bracket to hold his glasses? That would mean all his glasses has to be custome fitted! hmm... and why would he want to do that? Isn't the existing spectacles that uses the ears as holders and the nose bridge as support enough to serve the purpose of using glasses? Interesting. It would be good if there was a picture to go along with this discussion.

Nope I couldn't go there. That is the weirdest looking thing, reminds me of something from the sci fi channel. Plus if you have to adjust your glasses you can't. I know that I need new ones so I have to move them just a bit to see certain things.

no i wouldnt. Looking at them i think id have to get someone else to put them on for me so they dont fall off and it looks like it would HURT. They look like they might get pretty cold in the winter too.

No way, I looked at the article just to be sure, and no. I would assume the piercing is removable like earrings, where you don't have to wear the brackets, but I'd have to still say a big wopping no. Attached to my nose, or even close to my eyes, the only thing that gets near them are conventional clases, the old Spectacles that you wear on your ears. You could cut your eye if you tripped and fell...

hmm didnt think about if you fell but you could still do that with regular glasses but not as likely i guess

Hmm.. interesting. While i think its a good idea, i don't think its a good idea for someone with my eyesight. The shape my lenses have to be and everything. I just don't think it would work.
