We tried it, we didn't like it

The other night we were looking for someplace "different" to eat, and since there are a ton of new places in our mall, we went there. We tried Noodles and Company, even though we have heard varied reviews from our friends and family. Well, we were not impressed. The food was actually kinda bland. We'll most likly not go back. Do you have places that you're dying to try, but they just don't live up to your expectations? Do you give them another try later or just scratch them off the list???

I like Noodles & Co. Some stuff is a bit bland, but they do have some fairly spicy stuff there too. Try something else there. I like their Japanese Pan Noodles with sauteed beef. It's got some heat on it.

JAPANESE PAN NOODLES: Sweet soy pan-fry caramelized with udon noodles, broccoli, carrots and shiitake mushrooms. Asian sprouts, black sesame and cilantro garnish. Not sure what spices are specifically used, but those with spice have a little red pepper next to the menu item. Others that are spicy on the menu are: INDONESIAN PEANUT SAUTé, PENNE ROSA, and THAI CURRY SOUP.

I think that's what my husband had, I had the Japanese Pan Noodles with chicken. I didn't care for the noodles, they were kinda strange. We will probably go back and try something else, just to see, but it wont be on our top 10 list.

Being from CA in the Central Valley we have a Mexican restaurant on every cornor it seems like. Yes we have tried most of them and some of them are so bad we will not go back. Most of them are good. I have been to some that the food is so hot I could not eat and if it is hot I do not do well.

It was like that in Colorado too. Seemed like every 10 feet there was another little mexican place. Some were good, some were ok, and quite a few were horrible. We like to try new places, and sometimes we don't go back to them ever again.

Well, at least in Colorado Springs. When I lived there - late 70's early 80's - sometimes I felt like a minority. I would say at least 2/3 of my classmates were Mexican.

I also disliked Noodles & Co. Tried it once and won't be goping back anytime soon. I may try another one but not the same place. Sometimes they vary from locations also I've seen. I had always wanted to try Texas Roadhouse here. Finally made it there with my niece 2 weeks ago. Not badly priced and excellent foods. Ate some ribs, steak, burgers, and vartious appetizers. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

My husband has been "threatening" to take me to Texas Roadhouse around here, but we never seem to go. There's quite a few places he keeps saying we'll get to but haven't yet!
