I've tried washing the laundry by hand and it's really hard especially washing denim pants and bed sheets.. after the chore, i would always have a sore back.. The thing i like about doing the laundry by hand is that you are positive that the laundry is clean.. Because no one would want to wear something dirty right? especially if the laundry is yours.. as for washing machines, after giving the laundry a spin, I would still wash the batch of clothes by hand just once to make sure that everything is clean, especially those with stains on them.. I've never tried using a laundromat but it would be nice to experience it just once, lol:)

I always use a washing machine. I only wash my delicates like under garments by hand. We have way too much laundry to do things by hand.

Well I look at it this way....you have to wash your clothes no matter what. So there will always be water and time consumed doing it so better to not procrastinate on it!

Personally I like washing machines but maybe that is because that is what i am accustomed to growing up. I recently moved to an apartment where I do not have that luxury and I have to go to a laundromat. Not really a big fan though but we have to do what we have to do. Having a washing machine in your home is a luxury and a convienence but not everyone is fortunate enough to have one.

risis, if you are not looking at the brand ones you can purchase one at a good price. When I was purchasing mine, my staffs at the time was introducing me to the brand names ones such as whirlpool. I went and buy one that was made in China it is four years and it is still working. The name is HI-TECH. It washes the clothes clean and I don't have regret purchasing it.

Why should one have a washing machine and after it does the job they go and handwash again. Sometimes the detergent that one buy does not work with the brand machine and so the dirt takes longer to come out of the clothes. Since purchasing my machine I never have to use my hand and wash after washing it in the machine. Try and find the right soap and then you will not have to over work yourself. There are some good detergents on the market. If you have stain clothes don't mix them with clothes that are ot stain. Put the stain clothes together. You will see that you would have to do two jobs. Remember we buy technology to make our work easier. All the best. Kerry

For the last five months I have been washing my clothes by hand. I was laid off from my job. I do not have a washing machine, and I was taking the clothes to the laundrymat. In order to save the money I was using for washing to be used on something else I started washing my clothes by hand. I enjoy washing them by hand and the clothes come out so much cleaner. When I get back on my feet I think I will continue to do the laundry by hand. I do not let my clothes pile up because I wear and wash

i feel that it's cleaner if you wash it by hand because you can feel the cloth, but sometimes i use gloves so that my hand won't become rough:)
