how often do you go for a haircut?

China

i just had my haircut today and choose to cut my hair shorter than previously as i do not want to cut hair often. normally, i would go once about 3 weeks but now i am planning to see if i can go about 4 weeks or once a month. i paid about US$3 to have my haircut. it is about an hour with a wash, head massage and haircut. what about you and how much you spend each time?

Hi ! I really like changing ma haircut quite often . For instance if i wanna go with long hairs than I wont go to parlor for months and when they are short I go more to keep on changing the trend . Moreover I follow ma own trend believe in making ma own vogue statement . Usually I spend around $3 to get the hair cut done.

Hey hey $3 is pretty good and with a tip that would be just $5 . Gosh, when i get my hair done after everything it is like $20 and sometimes higher . There is this one place that only charges 10 and they have a waiting list that never ends.

After my last haircut in December last year....I had a haircut last month! I do not have the time or the inclination to go for a haircut. My older son needs a haircut once every month (his hair grows fast) and my younger one needs it once in two months. So, I take my older one for a haircut every month and my younger one once in two months. I tried the very short haircut for my older son to avoid going for a haircut every month....but the haircut didn't suit him..and so I'd stick to the once a month.

lol..yes...just one haircut a year for me. I like my hair long...and go for a haircut only when it looks like it needs one. My son does have thick hair that grows fast (like my husband's who goes for a haircut only when it resembles a forest and I nag him about it...which happens to be once in 3 months). 2-3 weeks after he gets a haircut, my son comes back from school saying his teacher asked him to get a haircut because the hair's too long (the moment it gets to his ears the teachers start nagging). I let them nag for a week atleast before I take him for a haircut.

haha. this also remind me of my schooldays when our teacher would make us stand in line to check our shoes(must be white with no colours), school uniform(are we wearing school badges, female skirt must not be too short etc) and also our hair. if it is too long, we must get it cut by the next day before demerit point is issued. it was a hassle and i never like cutting my hair cos during my time, the hair saloon is non-aircon and it is really uncomfortable to have haircut in hot weather with the hair sticking and poking all over your body

haha. i think your elder son is like me. the hair grows fast and thick very fast. normally, in two weeks my hair is aleady long, 3rd week is unsightly and in 4th week, it is messy and like thick bushes. set fire on it and it will burn real well and fast. from the look of it, you only have 1 haircut once a year!!!!. wow

I have short hair also, I usually cut my hair once a month, in my country, is about RM 8, only for cutting, I not wash my hair, because it near my house, I always after hair cut will directly go back to my house to take a bath, can save a little money. If I cut and wash, will charge RM 10.

oic. you are from malaysia? rm means ringgit, am i right? i still remember when i was about 8-9 years old and haircut only cost $3 in my country singapore. now it is at least $10. but it is a profitable business as everyone would need a haircut esp ladies who do not mind spending money on them to look good

Men also would like to set their hair, specially those who need to meet their customer, their have to get a new look too, the money will spend on their hair would be less than ladies, of course.

yes. the only time i spent a bomb on my hair is when i go to KL, Malaysia and entered a saloon which i was persuaded by the hairsylist to do a dye and perm. in the end i spent about 200RM or US$60 on my hair which they turn my hair into red and ended up getting scolding from my boss. haha. in the end i have to dye it back to black within a week

is your hair cut the same as your avator ? i think you would look cool in that hairstyle but i dun have the courage to cut that, at least not in my conservative society in Asia. The shortest i went was a flat top and that it. my hair grows real fast so i need to go to the barber about once a month.

I usually go for a haircut at the dawn of summer, once a year.My hair is curly naturally and fluffy ,and I am not fit to the short hair, although I envy short hair.I ever cut my hair to short once. It cost me so much to straighten my hair and the chemicls used was so irritating that I felt my scalp burning. So I won't have another try,I like my hair itself more than hair-style. Well, usually I take 10 yuan(about US$1.47) to have a haircut, including a wash and haircut, and it takes half an hour.

My daughter and I go and get our hair cut once every 8 weeks, it is quite expensive for a haircut for us so the longer in between the better!

yes. for ladies, it is very expensive and i think that is how the saloon earns. they dun earn much from us man cos we only go for cut while ladies go for a lot more facilities and services like perm, colour, highlight, straighten etc. there seems to be much more activities for woman than man. haha.

I almost never get my haircut. Most of what I usually need done I can do myself, so I really don't have to pay someone else to do it. Plus I like to keep my hair as long as possible. My husband goes once a month, he pays $25.00 including tip to his Barber, he has been going to the same barber since he was a little boy, so he and his barber are pretty close. He has only raised the price on my husband once in all the time he has been going to him.

When I was in high school, I used to go for a haircut once every 3 weeks to keep up with school regulations. Yeah, that's the norm here in the Philippines. When I went into college and up to now, I go for a haircut once in every 6 months. A typical haircut here costs PHP30, less than 1 US dollar. Well of course, it's just a haircut, nothing else inclusive. Cheers~

haha. yes. during my school days i hate those prefects or school counsellors who would go around catching those with long hairs. they would take down your name and class and inform the discipline master. then they will inform your form teacher and u will get demerit point as well as getting your hair cut in the next 2 days.

Generally I prefer slightly long hair.So I hardly go to cut my hair.Probably one time in the passage of two months.I pay 10 Indian rupees (equivalent to US$ 0.2) for my hair cutting....I don't go for any filmy style.I stay natural as much as possible........

wow i think you got the best bargain. 20cents for a haircut. it would be good if they charge this low here. i dun go for any style too. i just go in and tell the hairdresser, i want slope behind and short on top and that it. i would just sit there and let him deal with my hair for about 20-30mins.

i don't get a hair cut near enough. i'm lucky if i go about every 4 months. my hair is really thick and it's getting long, and i'm trying to grow it out longer which is pretty much why i dont go so much. i go to a cosmotology school, because i'm not overly fussy, it'll grow back, and they do a good job. It's only $8 (us). I think the sad thing is i can't always afford that either lol. I dyed my hair temporary black, only the temporary ended up being not so temporary lol, so i'm working on cutting that out slowly so that i can keep my length.

wow. but i guess 4 months for ladies is ok but not for guys, it would be messy and it can get real uncomfortable. Over at my side, hair cut is about US$3 so it is pretty cheap. Why do you need to dyed your hair black? isnt that the natural colour?

I'm a guy and I use to have long hair last year but i got a buzzcut this summer and it's so hard to grow your hair out again. So i usually buzz my hair to about 1 inch every 3 or 4 weeks. I hope I will grow my hair out again cus I liked it better with long hair. It's just that i look goofy growing it out.

i used to have a flat top and i think it looks cool but it will not last long as it is real messy when the hair grows long so i gave up. short hair is very comfortable in hot weather but can be a little cold in cold weather. but overall i think it still look better in short than long. i somehow find it more refreshing and energetic than long hair. meanwhile happying growing of your hair

Hi When i was in grade school i would just go once before school would start . Then in high school it was crazy i went like 2 years or something ! Then after school i got my hair cut real short and missed my long hair so i grew it long for 3 years . It just the last couple months looked wild . So, i got a trim and what a differnce it made and since summer i have been going every other month and getting a few inces off and it looks healthy and shiny . So , i would say once every couple months is good . I wanna get mine cut soon again , and wanna go to my shoulders again and then i wont get it cut till summer , and it will have grown real long . this summer i want shorter hair to be cooler .

yes. long hair look nice but maintaining it and washing can be quite a hassle. my wife have shoulder lenght hair and she goes frequently for a trim at the saloon which i think is a waste of money cos it looks ok to me unlike mine which is really messy but i guess woman needs to look good.

I need a haircut now, but can't afford one at this time :( I think I am going to get a new style next time...I'm sick of my hair. But if I had the money, I would probably do it every 6 weeks or so. I would LOVE to have someone massage my hair/head everyday...it is so relaxing. I have been just going to a basic hair cut place, not a fancy spa/salon. The basic place is about $15 for a wash and a cut whereas the salon is about $25 - $35 for a wash and cut.
