now these days the games are demanding high graphic cards for their games to play properly. even computers bought 2 years ago are not able to meet the demands of today pc games. most important feature that todays pc games demand is graphic card with high dedicated memory. so please help me out to select the best graphic card, also tell how much ram the graphic card should have so that it is able to play the games which will come out for next 4 or 5 years. also it will be good to know their costs

jus go for the 1 gb graphic card because if you buy a graphic card like of 256 mb then it will also get outdated after sometime because see the latest gta 4 that demands 512 mb graphic card i recently bought a graphic card of 256 mb and it was nvidia and it is jus like got outdated for me lolz so better buy from a distributor he will give you without taxes and also at very cheap rates and it will save atleast 30 % of your cost trust me it will take time for searching distributor or wholesaler but this will really give you a very good advantage peace and happpy mylotting

Dude in computer world its all abt budget, c if u buy a Graphic card now it wont b outdated for years , but the games released after 3 years will but obviously require a GC avail tht time. And specially in india, in Jan the rates of devices are cheap so u can but that time ,so i recommend wait for some time till Jan then go for GC. Now currently Nvidia's MSI 9 series card's are avail, so go for tht. Nvidia MSI - 9800 GLC for around 12-15k check out price at ur place.

I also recommend NVIDIA for a good graphic and performance. But nowadays the games which come out needs more requriements excluding graphic card. dual core, good chipset and more space. http://www.computerwarehousepricelist.com/productlist.asp?ctg=6, go this page and u will get some ideas about graphic card. And wisely choose your card. If you are a hardcore gamer, then y dont you go for a Console. Ps2 or Ps3

I beg to differ. I got myself a midprice ($1200) laptop three years ago and I can still play some of the new games with no problem. I admit that I did put a lot effort in finding out what graphics card and computer was most efficient for the price. To be more specific, what kind of price range are you talking about? Then you can see what's the best for that price... 5 years is a long time though, by that time there might be a technological breakthrough that changes things.
