What your father is doing is a good thing. If he keeps giving you money, you will always depend on him to give you money and won't be able to do anything for yourself. Once you're 18 you're not a child anymore and should be able to take care of yourself, or at least begin learning how to take care of yourself. Happy MyLotting!

Okay, so your father is wealthy. He's trying to make sure you do not grow-up to be an incapable adult. The best gift he can give you is showing you how to make your own money. He might not know this, all he may know is that when you turn 18, he should stop giving you money. Ask him to teach you to work for your money, how to be successful like he is. You're not going to like it at first but once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to do more than what your father has done. If you don't learn how to do this, you will never make as much as your father has. Happy MyLotting!

I think he means you have to EARN the money. I know is sound like the concepts parents give to teenagers, but it is the honest to god truth. Your father has stopped giving you money because he loves you. He wants you to get of you butt and get a good job. That way you know what its like to actually receive a paycheck. I do have a good question for you though. Does you father work for his money? Does he just give it to you? If thats the case then he good reason to stop giving you money. What if one day he went bankrupt. You would go get a job right? Well thats what you need to do now.

I understand fully that your father now wishes you to learn and earn, its the only responsible way of making you a human being in your own right. I will however ask a question. Did he ever encourage you to learn anything that would help you now to get a job or secure and income? As a responsible parent, if he intended to cease giving you money at 18, he should have pointed you in the right direction years ago, so that you were prepared. Sorry, but I think he has left you high and dry, so to speak.
