The chances are so rare, but I have hope. One year, I kept saying that and it actualy snowed. Would you love a white Christmas? Would you build a snowman and have a sno ball fight? My dream is to wake up Christmas morning to snow .....

I also remember a few years ago having the freakish white Christmas. So unusual to have snow but much less to have over 6 inches and on Christmas Eve and a white Christmas. Our Christmas miracle and I would love to see it happen again. I was not well when we had our other and didn't get to enjoy it as much. I didn't have a digital camera then and I need to find my pictures and scan them to the computer. It was beautiful.

I saved some pictures from the light snow that we had once and they are so funny because I have snow on my head, and face and sticking on my eyes. It was fantastic and it fell over the bay and I took shots of it falling into the water.....

Since my daughter has moved up near Waco,Tx. they have had some pretty good snows and one of the first ones after she moved up there she went out and her husband couldn't get her to come in and when she finally did her hair was frozen. She has pictures somewhere, I need to get one of those and show it off. That was so funny, she called me while out playing in it. My grandson was pretty little then and he didn't like the snow because it was too cold, he wanted to warm it up in the oven. hahahaha

Snow falling is the most awesome sight! Yes, I'd love to have a White Christmas, even though I don't really celebrate the holiday the way I used to. Since I live in North Carolina - that is a possibility! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year

I can't honestly remember the last time we had a White Christmas my friend here in the South of England, probably as way back as the 70s! I am not a lover of snow it's true, however there is one day where it should snow and that is December 25th! Our Winters here are exceptionally mild and the chances of snow are so slim, that if we have any snow at all this winter it will be a miracle. Normally the sun is out or it's raining hard on Christmas Day, oh well, no snowball fight or making snowmen my friend!

We would have a wonderful time. I have never been in a snowball fight or made a snowman and someday...I would love too! I am going to keep hope that it will snow here for Christmas, then I will go outside and make a snow angel and the neighbors will be laughing at me lol

Eww no, that is why I moved South for the winter. I would prefer putting Christmas lights on palm trees. LOL I just got a call from a friend up home, or where I used to live. He said it was snowing up there tonight. This is about the third time they have gotten snow already. I think this is going to be a pretty cold winter. I hope you get the snow where you live, that is, as long as you don't live anywhere near me. :) Thanks for starting this discussion, and have a great day!

It never rains in California, so what are my chances of getting snow. Actually, the first year we lived here (Sacramento area) there was snow on the hill behind us and if it had been just a little bit lower we would have gotten some, but it wouldn't have stuck. Would be nice, just for a day or so, but really really unlikely!

Hello My Dear Friend! I'm not sure exactly where in the US you are but I live in Ontario, Canada and it is normally white here for Christmas but these past few years the weather has been getting stranger and stranger to the point where it seems we can't have any normal seasons!!! Last year by this time we had snow and ended up with a terrible winter where we had a huge storm every three to four days!!! You could not travel anywhere! It was awful! We had far too much snow! This year as of yet we have not had any snow but will likely get it soon...I just really hope that we do not have a bad winter like we did last year! To answer your question though, I guess I do want a white Christmas.... In my thirty years I have never had one that wasn't! I just don't want to have the awful weather of last year!!!! ~Heavens~

OK that would be weird!! But it was so terrible being house bound for several months....seriously there was so much snow, you could not go anywhere but work and even that was a challenge and possibly dangerous! I sure don't want that again! It was the worst winter I have ever known!!! ~Heavens~

Yes, would love to have it for Christmas this year, although I'm not looking forward to the cold that comes with it, not to mention the driving accidents. Strangely, some people here don't know how to drive in snowy weather, unlike other parts of Canada...

Oh, it's quite ok to dream of it. I do the same. Am just not sure I'd be ready for it this year. Still have a cold to fully get over... Which city/state in the US are you? Unless you're in California, it's likely you'd get some.

I do not live in snow, thank God. I live in NorCal, but in the Central Valley where there is no snow. Although, one year, there was snow on the hills. But the snow was not on the ground. If I want to see or feel snow, I will go to Tahoe.

We got too much snow here last year. They actually had to cancel school 2-3 times because we got dumped at least 12in within 24hrs. I wouldn't mind it if it stuck around from say Christmas Eve thru NY's Day, beyond that forget it. My hubby & I are not looking fwd to shoveling out the drive way as the snow blower is kaput and we have no funds to replace it. Though I know my kids want to try out their new sleds and we all enjoy a good snowball fight with each other. But I'd rather hide inside the house crochet or baking with the kids.

We have never, ever had enough here to have a problem. I know if we get a real lasting snow, many people here wont know how to act.

Hi there! Basically im from the Philippines so definitely we dont have snow here. We belong to a tropical country. But it is somehow ironic if we suddenly had a snowy place someday, because it will make us want to go back to no snow at all. imagine, its cold, its wet, and very expensive living (because of jackets and blankets, and fireplace, and heater. hahaha) maybe i would love to visit a snowy place once but not observe a snowy christmas every year. havea nice day!

I would love to see snow for Christmas. I don't remember ever having snow exactly on Christmas. Our snow,if we have any, is usually in the late winter or early spring. Our last big snow was in 1993 in the middle of March. So I doubt that we will have a beautiful white Christmas unless God performs a miracle.

Our snow here has always been short lived, thin and has melted fast lol so I am ready for the real snow that will last, and wouldnt mind if it would start on Christmas eve.

It would be wonderful to wake up to snow on Christmas. Only thing, though; my grandchildren would not get their Christmas on Christmas Day. We all get together here at our house for lunch and opening presents. Then the kids play basketball or go riding the 3 Wheeler and 4 wheelers. My daughter lives over an hour away and she has 4 of our 6 grandchildren. The other two live about 20 minutes away, but they still would not be able to make it here if we had snow. We live on a back road that would get absolutely no attention as does my son. My daughter lives on a back road, but closer to an Interstate and she'd be traveling mostly on that until she got to our exit. But, hey, don't even know why I'm discussing this. We won't have snow for Christmas. It's been known to be hot here on Christmas day! But it could surprise us since the colder weather seems to have moved in a lot quicker this year.

Got a little on the ground right now! We don't usually get a huge amount during November but you never know! I love snow at Christmas but then I wouldn't mind if it went away shortly thereafter. Not gonna happen though! Northern midwest is the winter wonderland, you know!

Very true. I actually like snow and the change in seasons. I guess it just can get really dark and dreary in January and February. Although this makes Spring seem even more exciting when it comes! I think God must know what He's doing and I should probably appreciate it more. My daughter who is 10 has always loved the snow. She especially loves to go sledding. We have a few small hills right in the neighborhood and a pretty good sized one up at the High School.

My daughter is. She can hardly wait to get out in the white stuff with her dad. "It's cold I want to build a snow man." I for one hope she gets her wish. I enjoy watching them have fun together. I like watching it snow. I think it is beautiful. Watching it snow while drinking a nice cup of Hot chocolate, and taking pictures of my family building Frosty! Winter wouldn't get much nicer than that.
