I saw this movie on Sunday. It was so funny. I loved the way Matilda was able to use her powers on the mean old hag. It was so funny. It was very sad, how her parents neglected her, and they did not even look after her. Matilda had to basically raise her own self. Her dad got so mad at her because she wanted to read books, and she was 6 years old and she wanted to go to school. Her father and mother did not know that it was time for her to go to school. They thought that she was 4 and a half, but she told them that she was six years old. Her parents did not even know when her Birthday was. Her mother and father were both utterly careless. They paid no attention to her, and even her brother seemed to despise her. Any time that her father had anything to say to her it was negative and abusive.. It was a very sad story at first.. But when she got to school, all of this changed. She was able to interact with other students of her own age.. It was so funny how they tricked the mean principal. This was a very funny movie.. I really enjoyed it. Have you ever seen this movie, if so, what did you like and dislike about this movie?

Yes, certain parts of the movie, were very sad, I agree! But what I liked most about the movie, was that the kids were able to conquer the mean old nasty principal. And Matilda was able to receive the love and the attention that she has always wanted.. It was very obvious that her mom and dad did not have time for her. So her teacher took that time, now..

Yes, you're absolutely right. I really loved the fact the students won against the mean, old principal.

Not but three or four days ago I picked this movie up and intended to watch it. I remember a couple years ago when I saw it last that I loved how magical and fanciful it was. I don't remember much else except lil ol Danny D. I think he played the father's role exellently.

I have seen Matilda before. It has been a while though. It was a cute movie but it was sad the way she was treated by her family. And it's sad that they didn't even know how old their own child was. I liked how her teacher was so good to her and ended up taking her in.

Yes, I liked this too. I liked the way that her teacher adopted her. And did you notice how her parents did not seem to be at all interested in her? It was very sad. They showed no concern for their only daughter. Giving her up for adoption seemed like an easy task foe them too. What is the use of having a child, if you are not going to pay any attention to him/her? At least her teacher showed her love and attention. She surely was not getting it from her family.

Hi cream97, Yes I have seem Matilda, it was a great movie, my heart went to her because of the way her parents treated her and that school principal was horrid, Pam Ferris was very food as the nasty principal, but Matilda got the better of her in the end. It was great. Tamara
