Like many people have already said, you are never too old. Spongebob is also one of my favorite shows but I also love House. People should watch what they like not what they think they should like. Watching TV should be your time to laugh, cry, be scared or feel any emotion you feel like. Sometimes I want to watch a serious drama and sometimes I just want to watch a funny show like Scrubs.

I'm 33 and I also watch cartoons with my 8 year old daughter. We watch Spongebob everyday! I can probably quote every single episode. Any time I get together with friends and there's a trivia question about Spongebob, I get it right! My husband likes it too! He absolutely loves squidward! Spongebob is kind of a grown up show anyway. I think kids like it because Spongebob and Patrick act so silly. But adults love it for the jokes. The humor is very mature, and I don't think that young ones actually "get" the jokes. There are many more cartoons that I watch with my daughter (and by myself), so I don't think you're to old to watch cartoons. Watching them keeps you youthful!

This is a very good discussion because I am sure there are a lot of people out there who like cartoons whether they be a kid,an teenager,or an adult,and I am sure there are certain cartoons they like to watch,and watch on a regular basis or every once in a while,and then I am sure there are people out there who do not like cartoons for one reason or another or they do not like watching cartoons except every once in a while,and I am sure there are people who think once you are no longer a kid you are too old to watch cartoons,and I can understand why someone would think either way,when it comes to cartoons,and that is cool that you like SpongeBob and that you have found yourself watching him more and more lately,and that is cool that you are nineteen,and it sucks that your friends try to say you are too old for such things, and that is a good point if you enjoy something then you are never too old for it and it sounds like your friends are in denial or they are just being ignorant and you should not listen to them,I think cartoons are a good source of entertainment because they are good for laughs,and they have some pretty good cartoons out there nowadays,I do not think once you get a certain age you should stop watching cartoons because cartoons are created for everyone kids and adults alike,and I think some cartoons are created just so adults will watch them because some cartoons go into so much detail a kid would not understand what is going on,I am twenty three and my fiance is twenty one and we both still watch cartoons and love them,and most of our friends watch some sort of cartoons,one of out favorite cartoons to watch is SpongeBobSquarePants because it is so funny and we have seen about every episode of it twenty or more times,because we watch it almost every day,we also watch the Fairly Odd Parents,and Jimmy Neutron,and one of the shows that we have been watching a lot lately is The Secret Show which is about a Secret Agency,that protects the world from evil which is awesome.

I used watch cartoons with friends all of the time in college. We especially found Pinky and the Brain enjoyable. Love Spongebob as well as my 5 year old girl adores him and has since she was like 1. Spongebob especially the movie does throw in some jokes that are for the older crowd.

Hi! wow lou! I'm 45 and I enjoy watching spongebob too! can you believe that? am not married and don't have kids, but it was my 11 year old nephew who introduced me to spongebob. Watching cartoons is a good stressbuster, mind you. Though I don't get to watch regularly, everytime I had the chance, I had those feel good times. So I guess, its worth it. Happy watching!

I don't think there is an age when you have to stop watching cartoons. All of us have the right to be kids even at heart. In that way we could enjoy life more. To those who think that cartoons are for kids well why don't you ask the adult who make these cartoons. I have a lot of favorite cartoons.

Why do we should stop what we love to do? I think watching cartoons is not activity which have age limitation for everyone does it. It is just such a hobby and surely cures our selves from bored situation. Hey guy, it doesn't matter what people say to you because your habit. What do you do is not a mistake and you are not alone. I am a teenager and I am spongebob freak. And in the outside many people older than you love watching cartoon even Dora the Explorer!

I don't think people should not stop watching cartoon because of their ages. I'm still watching lots of cartoons now. I'm 22 years old. Cartoons are very simple to understand. And the friendship in cartoons is pure. It is so different from adult world. They can be totally sincerely to each other. I can feel such pure thing in cartoon while I can't feel that most of time in the adult world. I enjoy what cartoons brings to me.
@lou_66 (909)

yeah i think your right. they give us a break from the adult world as they are innocent. apart from cartoons such as the simpsons and south park which are aimed at an adult audience. thanks for your imput and have a nive day!
