I saw on the news that a group of people in China were holding up signs for Free Hugs. They wanted to do this to make new visitors to the country feel warm. It started in Australia and it received a warm welcome. How do you feel about this?

If we as humans gave more warmth and kindness to each other the world would be a better place. I'd do it.

Wow that's an interesting idea. I'd be creeped out by a hug from a stranger (could be the new yorker in me though). But hugs are always nice and they do make you feel warm and welcome. Still... strangers...? Hmmm I have mixed feelings about this, I guess lol. xD

I have some mixed feelings about this response only for the simple fact that if you live your life thinking that a stranger might hurt you, how then do make new friends. Everybody needs hugs, some people just aren't the touchie, feelie kind. Conclusion: They lose out on alot.....

I think hawaii had the right idea put a ring of flowers around their necks and a warm smile to make people feel good and welcome. Alot of people don't even hug their own family much less a stranger. I think it is a ok thing though alot of people don't get alot of hugs so a hug from anyone would make them feel better. Would I hug a stranger yeah i would and i have. Especially if they look like they needed it and a hug can brighten that persons life and tell them hey your not forgoten.

That's a good point that you brought up the hawaiian tradition with the flowers.
