If Obama has any interest in fixing this economy and is dead serious about it and isn't afraid to make tough choices nessesary to do it, then he should consider Ron Paul for treasury secretary. Dr, Paul is probably one of the most informed, intuitive and knowlageble people on the ways of U.S. finance and monetary structure there is and I'm more convinced of this every time he speaks or one of his predictions (all of them so far) come true. Obama, if your listening, if you make no other decent choices for cabinate positions, make THIS one, Ron Paul for treasury secretary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-8Wex62Wos&eurl=http://snardfarker.ning.com/video/video/show?id=2142922%3AVideo%3A81548

Yes! If he did that he'd almost completely ease my mind about him being our new President. I mean if that ain't an awesome piece of judgement right there... *sighs* I don't think it'll happen either, but we can definitely hope, man.

I'm afraid lil is right, so far, the 2 cabinate members confirmed for his pick re clinton re-hashes. I don't think this will be different. this would with out a doubt be the single greatest judgment call he could make as a new president, but again, I wouldn't plan on it, it probably never even corssed his mind.

lol, I wish I could randomly pop up throughout his days this week and nag him. "Psst. Hey. Ron Paul!" *disappears* I figured he'd pick a whole bunch of ol' Clinton administration folks, but yeah. Never hurts to entertain different scenarios. I hope he picks some new faces, instead of former government folks. I KNOW he's probably trying to compensate for that "experience" thing..but there's better ways to do that. For example: Ron Paul. lol.

Keep dreaming xfahctor. Funny thing is I was saying that McCain should pick him months ago if he were to win. The difference is, I thought there was actually a chance that McCain would, especially after he took my advice and picked Sarah Palin as a running mate. With Obama... expect another former Clinton appointee.

I'm betting that job would go to another Clinton crony like Wesley Clark.

I was thinking he would make a great treasury secretary or minority whip. Maybe we should contact Obama or his people and tell him we really want him for hte job. Especially sense he is "so serious" about being bipartisan.

Obama doesn't want advice, he wants rubber stampers. Paul tried at one point to totaly eliminate the FED. think Obama is gonna hire someone who knows the kind of corruption and how flwed our federal reserve and treasury department is?
