Verizon Makes Me Sick!!!

I have a land line with Verizon phone/DSL service. I have had it for three years and have done fine. In September, I disconnected my service, because I thought that I would be moving. A short while later, I had it reconnected. They gave me a hard time about how I needed to sign up as a new customer, so I did, which was a big headache. But when they told me that I now qualified for their new special promotion of free DSL for six months, I felt much better. So I agreed to a contract where I would get six months free if I stayed for a year, but every month they have sent my regular bill. And every month, when I call, I get transferred to the same idiot who acts like he has no idea what I am talking about, The first time I spoke to him, he hng up in my face. This month, I went in to the office and attempted to settle things with a manager, but they said that there was no manager there and they do not discuss the bills, they only take the money. So they allowed me to use their customer service phone. I called to speak to a manager and who do you think came on the line? That same jerk as always. When I asked to speak to the manager, he started giving me the same run around, although they have already told me that I am entitled to the free time and that it is in the computer. I just found out today that we are no longer obligated to have Verizon out here. But as soon as I decide to cancel, these nuts are going to try to hold me to the contract. It is already frustrating that we have to talk to an animated service, but now, when we go in, no one will talk to use there. I notice also, that there are less staff and now you have to take a number. I know that there have been a lot of changes, because companies have been attempted to save money and cutting labor, but this is ridiculous. I have already made up my mind to contact the Better Business Bureau online. I just needed a chance to rant and rave before doing so.

i had a friend that was a manager with msn and she told me they had a lot of people that went back to msn and complianed about Verizon. I thought about signing up because of the price they have on tv untill she told me this. I decided I wouldn't after hearing that. I hope you do contact the Better Bussiness Bureu to get them in trouble.

Yeah, this is real frustrating. I do not want to have to change my service again, but I can't take this any more. Thanks for your response.

The BBB will do little good I'm afraid. Verizon is one of the worst. It seems that all the big communication guys are like this. Keep all your paperwork, documents all calls, and take them to court if you don't get what you agreed to!

I think that I will have no choice but to go to court. I just pray that they do not interrupt my phone service in the meantime. That would be horrible.

It does get crazy when you think you've fixed something and it takes forever to get to talk to someone. Keep after them and don't let them string you along.

You're not the first person I've heard complain about Verizon. We had our fair share of problems with them, and so have our friends. They screwed us on high bills, and our friends have had similar problems. We are never going to use them again. Now we are in Canada, and there is no Verizon.

in canada we have the crtc which governs all media telecommunication services, you must find out if you have on in your area, call the attorney general's office for help on that.

That is just not on! I feel your frustration Rozie and for them to not sort out your internet service and give you the run around, is ridiculous. Try again and this time ask for a different Manager, or can you call another office that will deal with it? I would be frustrated as well!

I went down to the local office and used their customer service phone to try to speak to the manager, but the same guy came on the line and insisted that I speak with him first. At that point, I was so frustrated from dealing with him, that I hung up the phone and came home. I am going to see if there is someone to help me on my cities website.
