How important is getting a Best Response to You?

Do you go all out on your responses to each discussion, making it the best post you can to raise your profile,or do you set yourself a target quota of responses to be made each day so you can get to your monthly payment level more quickly,i.e. going for quantity over quality?

I'm not really aiming for my posts to become the best response in a discussion. I do try to make as many responses as I can in a day but I also make sure that the posts I make is of good quality and that people would be able to get the point I'm making. I was just thrilled when I reached a hundred posts and got a star after a week of joing the site. I havent earned much yet and I don't know whether the earnings are base on the quantity or the quality of your posts, but since I'm enjoying the discussions a lot I really didn't mind it that much. When I got a best response I must admit it encouraged me to do better here at myLot, though.

Payment is based on the discussion that follows,so the more responses the better..

I have no targets as such . I have been trying to post good quality responses to help co-members of Mylot . If members get good quality replies then their earnings will be also good . Actually I had a target of 100$ in my Paypal account to help a friend . And it was achieved long ago . I am no longer participating for the money .

Best response is a bonus and that is all really. I try to make a contribution to a discussion and yes sometimes that does earn me a best response from the discussion starter. In fact if a discussion interests me then I will still respond even if a best response has been awarded. No I do not set any target of responses for myself on any one day or session here because sometimes things just do not work out like that. It could be that my internet drops out or maybe myLot is so slow that getting a certain number is not achieveable. I am not one of those people who can sit here on the computer for hours on end simply to reach a certain target but good luck to those who can of course. More than once I have not reached payout level because I have not made enough responses to discussions here on myLot. But I do know that my earnings do carry over anyway so if I ever reach the minimum payout I will get the money. In fact it will be a miracle if I finally reach minimum payout (including carry over) for November despite the fact that I have made a large number of responses already for this month.

I just go with the flow on Mylot.. I don't try to have a production line of discussions ready to roll, and I don't always get time to go back and follow up on those that I have already started! (Like this one!) Call it a New Year's resolution..my unresolved pile is getting noticably big,and I don't want to wait too long to reduce it a bit..

its nice to get of course, but its not something that i set as a goal or anything when i respond to a discussion. i TRY to have a target each day in regards to how many responses i do, but it never works out that way. either i cant find enough discussions that interest me (or that deserve more than a one liner) or i just have too many other things to get done during my time online. i also TRY (lol) to think up topics to start my own discussions, but that rarely happens. my brain just goes totally blank..then i try to go to sleep later on and my brain wont shup up about possible ideas. course by the time the next evening rolls back around ive forgotten any potential ideas anyways lol!

If I can come up with a discussion idea,I'll write it down so I'll remember it until I can get back to the computer, then check out the zero response pile to see if somebody has already came up with the idea..I don't like seeing discussions too similar to mine cropping up!

Creating an interesting discussion on mylot gets more responses, and the best response gets recognition by the original poster.I was asking which was most important...
