What was the hardest thing you have ever had to tell your parents/guardian?

I had to tell my mother that I was pregnant. I thought she would be mad at me. Sure, I was a grown woman, it must have been the pregnancy hormones kicking in.

When I was in middle school I was hanging outside the front of my house and a man had driven up and exposed himself to me. I kept it from my parents for about a week and finally told them because it had happened to a few other teenage girls in the area. It was really hard to tell them.

It was a while ago and I have been able to move past it. The guy was caught and served his time and is now out. I just hope that he learned his lesson. I hear that people like that aren't liked too well in jail/prison.

Sometimes I wonder if people serve enough time and get enough "support" (counseling, etc.) for that type of thing. Good for you for moving on! :o)

Oh my goodness!, I'm sorry to hear that such a thing happened to you! -- Several years ago there was a man that exposed himself to some movie goers, and needless to say, me and my friends were not allowed to patronize that place for a very long time. Kudos for you and your bravery! That would definately be a scarey time especially for being so young.

Wow!, that would be a tough one. I would have just wrote him a letter or something. That's great that you have a father that didn't flip out on you.

Mine was the same thing. Although at the time I was just 16. (almost 17) She had found a letter I had wrote to my husband telling him about the pregnancy and what were we going to do about it. Sure enough she found it! While I was getting ready for our weekly shopping trip, I was fixing my hair and she popped the question. At first I lied.. that lasted maybe 1 min.. then I knew I had to tell her. She took it better than I had thought she would! Now I have 6 kids and she is one proud Grandma! :D

lol I think mine was also telling my dad i was pregnant, i thought he would flip out, but he gave me a hug and said he was there for me. I dont think anything else has been that hard to tell them, although i was so embrassed to tell my mum when i first started my period lol

Ahh yes.. I must have forgot about getting my first period.. lol. I thought it was a 1 time deal.. bleed for a day, and it's gone. She told me otherwise. What's even worse, I was staying with my dad for the weekend when it happened. I'm glad your dad was there for you! :o)
