Hello my fellow countrymen and women! Just want to share that PayPal is legit here in the Philippines. You can open a bank account with ANY bank and have your paypal funds transferred. I have a BDO account and it really works. You don't need to sign up for an EON card with Unionbank to get your paypal funds. So for those who don't have a PayPal account yet, get one now and start making money online!

Hi! Im still not a verified paypal user but I dont think that paypal is open to any bank in the Philippines. I know that there's a list of bank codes that you can link up to your account. Most users would sign up for the EON card for the purpose of fund transfer as well as account verification by linking the debit card. I used to plan to open a BDO account but the regular maintaining balance is just too much for me so now Im just trying to keep my eyes peeled for any new developments or any other easier/cheaper way of paypal fund transfer as well as verification. Thanks for posting this as well since other members might not know this option yet.

I just transferred funds from paypal to my BDO account and got it within a few days with no extra charges. The paypal exchange rate is lower than the published rates on the paper though but it's okay.

I agree to you my friend that Paypal is a legit service here in the Philippines. I am just not sure that all banks here are accepting transactions with Paypal, just like my Landbank account. But good news for public servants like me who are members of GSIS, that they are issued with an ecard by the agency which is connected to unionbank. This ecard is a Visa debit card that can be used with a lot of services. I already done my first paypal transaction via unionbank and it was successful...

So Landbank doesn't link up with Paypal? That's strange. Well it's too bad that Paypal isn't that popular and in demand in our country, but at least it's available in selected banks! I know other mylotters who don't even have access to Paypal and cannot withdraw their online earnings!

As I mentioned above, I only had to enter my BDO credit card number and details on my Paypal account and was verified immediately. If you have a BDO credit card, then it shouldn't be a problem getting verified.

I tried using my Metrobank and BDO accounts to be verified by Paypal, but was unsuccessful. Only with Unionbank Eon did I finally get it verified. Although it took me almost three weeks from applying for a debit card up to Paypal verification, but the process had been fairly smooth.

Really?! I wonder why.. if you have a credit card then getting verified should only take a couple of days. I guess I'm really lucky! But I just entered my credit card info online and was immediately verified by Paypal.

I do have paypal account and have set up my BPI account to receive money from paypal. I think two years ago, paypal is not yet legit in the Philippines but in a very short period of time, paypal has been accepted in the e-commerce world. I have received earnings from sites already and had them deposited to my paypal account. I haven't transferred them to my BPI account yet, though. I wanted to keep it the money at paypal for any future possible earning opportunities.
