Is Your Car having Power steering?

I do not have my own car yet. I would like to ask about power steering in car. Is it a good thing to have power steering? Do you think power steering is necessary?

I have power steering on my Peogeot and I think it is wonderful. It is very powerful and yet I can still 'feel' the car when driving. It came as a shock whem I was towed to a garage the other day and so had no power steering and boy was it heavy on the wheel!! No, it is not essential and like on a lot of things on a modern car - they are great while they work! Terrible problem when they don't work!!

Hi, You are right. Once we get used to the power steering, at times of hardware failure, we will have difficult time using the normal steering.
