Blockbuster Store

Has a video rental store such as Blockbuster ever lost a video you've returned? I had a message on my machine today saying that I had not returned a video that I know I returned over a week ago. I called the store and they said it was not showing the video returned. I had returned 2 videos at the same time, and one is showing returned but the other is not. Apparently they were busy at the moment because she told me to call back in awhile so she could check on the video for me. Has this ever happened to you? I'm quite irritated by it right now, because I know for a fact I returned that video. I'm going to have to call the store back right now.

Yes I did have that happen to me once. They did find the movie after a time. /so after that when I rented any thing from them I always took it into the store and made sure that they scanned it right then. We now go to movie Gallory for most of our movie rental because they are closer. I got a cll the other day from them saying that a movie was late but when I told them I had returned it the anager looked on the shelf for it. Sure enough it had been returned to the shelf before it could get scanned as being in. Renting movies can be a bit tricky if your not careful.

Movie gallary is closer to me too, but I get free rentals through Blockbuster because I have the online service, and can exchange them at the store. I did get this matter straightened out though.

That's never happened to me. I think blockbuster is a pretty consumer friendly company and I get the feeling that they will help you with this in some way. Hang in there!

When I called them back they had already found it and fixed the error. That was good.

Once I returned a movie case without the movie in it. They called me to let me know and I could not find the movie anywhere. I looked all over. As it turns out my son had taken it out of the DVD player and put it in one of his cases since he could not find the one it went in and he did not want it to get scratched.

I used to work in a video rental place, and that happened a lot actually. I'd always call the renter and let them know about it, and they'd usually bring the DVD in that same day or the next day. I personally have never done that, I'm careful to check the case before leaving the house, but I'm sure my day will come.

I have never had that happen I hope they find the video otherwise they are going to want to charge you for the video and its not cheap when it is from a movie rental place. I have had movie rental places tell me that my movies were late and had a late charge even though I know for a fact that they didn't but they never lost the movie.

They did end up finding it and fixing their error. I plan to go there sometime this weekend, probably tomorrow, to rent some new movies. If they tell me there's a late fee on that one I will throw a huge fit. They did it to my mother once when I returned 2 videos I'd rented on her account. They said I didn't return one, and the other had been returned to a different store. It was total BS, but my mom never let me use her card after that.

I haven't ever had that happen to me but I have had them call and tell me that I returned one of my movies in their case. My daughter was playing with them and must have mixed them up. I returned it as soon as I could and surprisingly they did not charge me a late fee.
