Do you think everyone should be treated equally?

I mean everybody, every person on this big green earth, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, belief, etc. I don't think there's any excuse to be rude to someone or to treat someone as a second class citizen, even if you think they're weird or ugly or strange. I sometimes wonder if I am the only person on earth who has any empathy! Haven't you been hated before, just for being you? Haven't you been hated by someone who you have never spoken to? If you've ever been to school, I'm sure you could say yes. This kind of stuff really doesn't just stay in schools, it's all through life. I can't stand it.

I some what agree with you sheepie! If people treat you right then yes they can be treated equally the same. But as you say it has to be both parties here regardless of their background. That's a great look at life and I always try to give people a chance and when their true colors come out then I get into attack mode!

Oh, of course! If someone is going to be nasty for reasons of their own, and they can control it, don't hold back the lions! There are just some people who "started it" and that's really not your fault, you have every right to take back your ego and self respect!

I strongly believe that everyone should be treated equally. We are just having different appearances like skin color, height, languages, cultures but still we are all humans and we are all equal in the eyes of our Creator. But I think only few people have a complete realization on that. We still know that even today, there are many white people who hates black people.Rich families looking down at poor families. There are still lots of people who thinks that they are better than others.I think it is really hard to remove the discrimination in each part of the world.

I think it's much more than appearance, it's how someone thinks and what they personally believe too.

Everyone should be, absolutely. After all, we are all citizens of the world and we are as good as the next person of another culture.

Yes everyone should be treated equally, and the past should have no effect on that treatment, as every group has been mistreated through history by each other. You weren't there, I wasn't there, none of us were there. Real equality. No one gets first dibs. You want something . You have to work for it like everyone else.

I kind of got off topic in my previous reply, didn't I? It's human nature to fear change and difference. The problem is that fear turns to hatred and then we really have trouble. My grandpa always told me to respect everyone until they gave me a reason not to. He predicted that we would all meld into the same color eventually through intermarriage and said that would be a wonderful thing. I wish there were more people like him. He taught me to look past a person's exterior and into their heart.

Everyone has the right to be treated the same and times have moved on and the world should realise we are all the same, and we should all be treated the same , never mind colour, race disablities etc

I don't think people are weird or ugly or strange - and I often think we'd all be better off if we didn't have eyes. It would be nice to judge people on the things they said to us, and the impression we got when we spoke to them and interacted with them, rather than taking a look and deciding they didn't match up to what we wanted to see. After all, we would all look weird and ugly to others, I'm sure. I can't remember being hated by anyone for no reason - not even at school. It's very sad if you are finding this happening to you.

As much as I wanted to be treated with respect and equal among others in same manner each and every person in this planet deserves to be treated the same. Despite the fact that we live in a society where criminals, addicts, corrupt people existed acting and living on certain level of respect for others and treating them equally, I think we could be able to live in harmony of each our world. Afterall, we do have hearts to feel the other. Have a great day !

The world has changed from the time when folk knew only one way of life and thats the town they were born in. Since the areoplane, cars and internet and television came into our lives it opened up the wonders of this world which means we come into contact from people of all walks of life and no there is no need to be rude a smile and friendly hello costs nothing so why treat people different ,they are no different to us ,we all feel pain and bleed. Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself thats my belief. cheers.

Yes everyone should be treated equally. Should be, meaning to say some are not treated equally. There's always a descrimination we feel in some fields. In sales those top sellers receive VIP treatment, the best accomodations and the best incentives. Right they had worked for it thats why they deserve it but you will feel that they 're the one being given the more and best chances or oppurtunities to earn more. The maids, few are being treated equal to those who are not. So many other cases where we can see everyone not treated equally.

I too feel that everybody should be treated equally, but everybody also has his own uniqueness. Rights and opportunities should eb equally given to all, but there are those who think that equality means everybody should function equally. That is an impossibilty because each and every person is different by nature. What we have to do is respect those differences.

I know what you mean. Those of us who never were that way just don't understand how someone can hate someone else, tease them and be cruel just because they're different in some way. The sad thing is, those people never really grow up, they just learn to hide their cruelty so they can get along in civilized society. A new study found that the pleasure centers in the brains of bullies actually are stimulated when they see others suffering. Maybe now that they know this they can get a cure for it and there will be an end to so much childhood misery.

Obviously, everyone should be treated equally!but it's the real life not in the heaven.there's must be some evil and sometime we'll be hated or looked down upon.sometimes we ourselves can't treat others equally!we're not saint and we'll make some mistakes sometimes.so when we are badly treated ,we should forgive them and forget the whole stuff.when we treat others badly,we should apologise and think abut why we did such a bad thing and avoid this in the future!

I try to treat everyone equally and even consider why someone is different and try to be very considered. I somehow always try to give others a chance to prove me wrong, even if my guts tell me differently. But this goes more to the personalities then their religion or looks. As far as someone being different nationality, colour, gender or religion makes absolutely no difference to me. I judge people by their character not looks. But I must admit I am very strict when it comes to personality flaws

And i also think that every one should be treated equally, our society needs harmonious, even every nations should be treated equally. I do believe that there are people or nations which do not treat others the same, they have prejudice. And i hate someone who always look down upon other people.
