I know many individuals who in their teenage years, especially, tend to confide more in friends as comparedto their immediate families respectively. They attribute this to a generation gap, which they feel may never be bridged. What do you feel?

Well, i think many teenagers want to open thier problem to thier friend and not to thier immidiete family members. one of the reason is they dont want to give problem to thier love one. or they are the problem.

Thanks for the response. You have given a totally different angle to the debate. It is so true that sometimes, we really want to give trouble to the immediate family andso confiding in friends durin those times should not be a big deal, really. Happy my lotting.
