How to use PTC scripts?

I have downloaded two PTC scripts. I do not know if they are legit or not, but I want to try and use them to create my own PTC site. I will not open it. I just want to try and experience setting up and working with my own website. I do not want to open it to the public but I just want to try and make one. How do I use the PTC scripts to do this? Please be as detailed as possible. And remember, I have very little experience with websites, PTC scripts, and coding. Also, if I use your instructions and succeed, I will give you a best response.
