Philippines ranked 39 in the Top Internet users

this is not a good news. it only shows how we are lagging behind in the computer literacy and usage. the philippines is the 12th largest country in the world in terms of population. if we are ranked 39th, then we have a low ratio of computer users as against to the total population. having 4.6 million of internet users means that only 5% of the 90 million filipinos is using the internet. this is very low. there is so much to improve to encourage people to use internet.

yes i agree this findings. Do you believe that Philippines is the Top 1 user of Friendster? I remember when i first used the internet, the only site that i always log-in everyday was Friendster. I think not only me have experience like this. Almost all of us have the same experience. Friendster is the first socialize network that we knew online.

Hmmm... Well, I think that's about right. Not every household here in the Philippines can afford a computer with internet access. It would be nice though if we could raise that number.

Its good that india is ranked 9 th but i still think we are on 2nd or third rank. i meet indians on every site. I like philippians as i have met many and they are very good hearted people

Against a population of 88.57 million Filipinos as of August, 2007 (I researched this figure), I think the figure says that our country is poor and backward. Business wise, I think this means that the computer and internet business will prosper because there is a big market to tap.

No doubt about the million who uses internet. Looking at the surroundings, Internet shops are scattered and even these shops are near from the other shops, theyre all full of customers. Filipinos just love to online and do their things.

COOL!!! I like this fact. This shows that Filipinos are very literate about the computer world and we are not left behind by the fast rise of technology. using the internet is one way of knowing that the literacy rate in our country is better than the others. In my opinion, that's not accurate, we would be somewhere in the higher ranking if they can all really survey all the internet users in the Philippines from private users to big number in the offices. It's good that we are still listed (good listing). Thanks for sharing!
