Do you take surveys to earn money?

I'm not crazy about surveys. I joined a site one time that sent me millions of surveys, and after 15 minutes of filling out information, I didn't earn anything for it. I've been leary of joining a survey site since then. I found they were too time consuming, and I rarely had the time to take the survey. But now I have found a new site I like. You earn points for each survey, and then you can exchange your points for prizes or cash. You need 1,000 points to get $10. After just a few surveys I now have 210 points. Sometimes the survey will say it is worth 10 points, but then the survey tells me I'm qualified to take an additional survey for an extra 50 points! The surveys don't come too often, but I like that, because it's not overwhelming me with the surveys. What survey site do you belong to? How much money have you earned through it?

I did belong to surveyspot, opinionoutpost, mysurvey, I would never qualify for the surveys so I never made any money. I'd spend 10 minutes filling out pre-survey questionaires only to be turned down and not recieve payments. I don't do any survey sites anymore.

Opinionoutpost is a waste of time. I'm on surveyspot, but rarely actually bother with the surveys. I'm also on Mysurvey, and that's the one I am doing now, I don't think it's too bad. At least you get points even if you don't qualify.

They all seemed like a waste to me but if it works for you, that's great.

I'm in a couple. Pinecone Research. The African American one, Synovate, Opinion Outpost, among others. Most offer points towards something. Few offer money. or points towards money. It is always a darn gimmick if you ask me. But yep, I'm in a couple now. I just got in one over from Great Britain called HotBux. can't spend but it's there. With Pinecone, I earned in the time I've been with them around $200 a year. not much but cool.

I think opinion outpost is the one I was in that overwhelmed me. I'm doing Mysurveys and it's for points. I've belonged to it for a long time, but don't always to the surveys so I haven't reached a payout point yet. I think it's good though. It has to be good since it's been around for so long.

I've given up on surveys because most of them as you to take a survey just to see if you even qualify! Those initial surveys take forever to fill out and then they get really personal with their questions and that's about when I just close it off...lol..A couple of times I just gave a few made up answers just to finish the survey and to see whether I qualify. Most of the time I didn't! I worked it out that even if I DID give my correct answers to their questions, the time it took to do the survey, just wasn't worth it only to find out that I didn't qualify. As far as the regularity of the emails when I DID qualify (not very often) well that wasn't very often either. The very few that WERE regular, I open them up only to find out that it wasn't available in my area. So you can see why I gave up on them, but I hope you have more success. All the best.

I belong to so many i've lost count. There are only few that actually pay and mostly they are only for a dollar or 2 or points for prizes or sweeps. I try to avoid the sweeps one as I'd rather get something instead of a chance at something. Qualifing isn't always fun and usually the larger payments i never qualify for. Usually if you have kids at home and in a wide group of ages you get more survey offers. I usually earn enough points to get free movie tickets and resturant gift cards for dinner with my husband every 4 to 6 months which is good since ususally we don't have extra money for us time. The most money I ever got was $250 cause a sweepstake actually paid off!

I can't do too many because I'm not crazy about the surveys, but doing one or two on the side isn't bad. I'm sticking with this one for now, it seems decent. I don't expect to get a lot, but between that and the few other things I do for money, it should help.

Yeah I belong to quite a few and they can be really hard work at times, it is all very tedious! I get loads of surveys but not always compatible for them all I go through stages where I get loads and complete them all and reach my payout and then it is months before I reach it again!

I understand your frustration with surveys. At one point I was a member of quite a few survey sites. They were all legitimate, mind you, but it took a lot just to qualify for surveys that would actually pay me. I guess that I am not the demographic that they are looking for most of the time. I finally gave up because with the way they are designed, there is no way that you can make a full time income off of them. I needed time for other ventures, so I just gave up. I am glad that you found a site that is actually giving up points for your time. I think more survey sites should do that, even if you don't qualify. Even if they don't need the information you give you still should be given some compensation for the time you spent figuring that out!

Yeah, if there were more sites like that when I started out trying to make money online, I probably would be more into them! But being in business online for myself and trying to figure that out myself has really taken up my time. I wish you the best though!

yes, the one I'm on now offers the points it promises even if you don't qualify. I like that about it. It does seem to take awhile to reach payout, but at least it's not taking up all of my time for nothing.
