Hey waht do you want to hear from us, get yourself checked up by a ral doctor if you have chest pains but for heart you usually get pain on the right shoulder and if your lungs have gotten bad then you are supposed to have a cough that never goes away. or you may find yourself clearing throat every time. Smoking affects each person individually, some can live and even smoke four packs day and for some even a single one is enought damaging. It depends on your own body's oping capabilites and sensitivity. So none can help you there, if its bad better consult a doctor and give up this guilty pleasure.

I suggest go for a check up.. The one cigratte which u are having... try to go for a brand which you dislike and then gradually try to quit.. Quit it for Good buddy... Cigratte has smoke at one end and diseases at the other end.. The pleasure is not at all worth the pain you might face... The doc will gude you with his suggestions and once well start exercising if you dont as yet,, I know of many people who have stoppped smoking once they started training and became health concious.. The best way to stop is to stop.. The sooner the better for you....

Anytime you are having chest pains you should go to the doctor. Chest pains are not good. It could be something but then again it could be nothing. It's just better to see your doctor to make sure. Also, if you go see the doctor he could give you something to try to help you quit smoking. Hope the pains go away soon and that you can quickly give up the smoking since you are wanting to.

I say quit! Go to the doctor and tell him your concerns. As long as you only smoke 1 cig a day it should be fairly easy for you to quit. You will not regret quitting as much as you will if you dont.

Good thing you've already had it minimized. The next logical step, is of course to stop the habit completely. Yes, you should go to the doctor for a needed check-up and have a look on your physical condition. Your chest pains might be an indication that you have cardiovascular and pulmonary disorder or something. Stay healthy. Quit it bro.

I'm 28 and have been smoking on and off for about 14 years now. Go to the doctor and see if they can help you. Smoking is a very bad habit and it will cause many health problems if you don't stop. I can tell you this because I know from experience. I am making plans to try and quit AGAIN because I don't want to die of lung cancer. I have had this cough lately and it isn't too hard for me to figure out what it's from. Try to quit now while you have only been smoking for two years and the damage isn't that bad.

Hello unagie, The best you can do is really to stop smoking. Your body is already showing some signs of the hazardous effect of smoking. Stopping any habits takes time and require a lot of self discipline. It is like dieting. You can do it for a few weeks or months but sustaining it is really hard. You better start taking seriously of stopping your bad habits of smoking. It will do you good and other around you when you stop smoking. You can search around the internet on the harmful effect of smoking and that will get you going. Regards.

I work in a doctor's office. I do not recommend smoking. It is simply not worth what it sets you up for in the future. If you cannot quit, you have additional incentive for eating healthy and exercising. These are important, I feel, for you to pay attention to. I do not like people who seem preachy or condescending. You are free, of course, to do with your life what you wish. It just seems, in my humble opinion, that this is an issue which has serious repercussions and I try to say as much without seeming rude. I hope you have a good day.

After reading some of the responses to your question, I have noticed that most responses fall one of two catetgories. You can really tell who the smokers and non-smokers are. The non-smokers will urge you to quit smoking, while the non-smokers will tell you that, compared to many people your habit is not as bad as it could be. Just be warned, I am a non-smoker. However, I will not preach and say that smoking is bad for you(it is) or that you should quit (you should). Everybody has an opinion, but what you need are the facts. All you know so far is that: 1) you smoke 2) you are experiencing mysterious chest pains 3) you are only 21. Maybe these things are related, maybe they are not. The only person who can give you an honest and unbiased answer is your doctor. Get a checkup.

Not sure what the wether is like there right now, but I have smoked for more than 10 yrs and that always happens to me when the wether gets cold. I really don't think it has anything to do with smoking, but any doctor will tell you that everythig is caused from smoking.

If you are having chest pain, then you should be visiting your doctor, and not asking if you should. It is really good that you have this strong determination to quit smoking. So good luck.

U said U R 21 years old,so U can smoke... U said U r 21 years old,so U can manage yourself better... To smoke or not to somke,That's a problem! U can decide it totally yourself, after all, U R 21 years old-which I think U know better than me!!! But I advise U stop smoking,it will make your teeth yellow and your mouth smelly! U R young,if u START SMOKING AT AN EARLY age,U can calculate yourself: How long will you smoke? Maybe till you die(sorry!) Everybody know that smoking is bad for health, but nobody/smokers will give up smoking just because this. In a word,To be(a smoker) or not to be(a smoker),that's really a problem! Just try, my friend, If you think you can, you can. ____Jasmine From China,21 years, too

Yes, you should go see a doctor and yes, absolutely %100 you should quit smoking altogether. The industry has you by the short and curlies and that's excatly what they want. They don't care about your health or even your freedom to smoke and do what you want. They want your money and they don't care what it takes to get it. If your health is not the # priority then at the very least you should not be feeding the evil that is the tobbaco industry. Good luck, I hope you find a way.

Yes, you should go for a check up because our bodies always tells us when there's something wrong before they get worst people always say they had signs that something was wrong but they decided it wasn't that bad but those are also the ones who are telling that story from their hospital beds. So don't wait until it to late do something about it now.

smoking no matter how much is not good for you. As you may have learned already. Any time you are concerned about something happening to your body you need to go to the doctor, especially with chest pain.

You should go for checkup. It's good to know about the status of your health. Not going for the checkup doesn't mean you are not having any problems. Similarly, going for a checkup does not mean that you will definitely have a problem. Be brave and go for it. You did well to cut down to one. Try your best to cut it down to one every 2 days and eventually 0. All the best!

Mild chest pains could be a sign of anything and not just down to you being a smoker. But if you are having them regularly then you should consult a doctor and have a check up because you should not be having chest pains at 21. I think that you are doing extremely well to be only having one ciggie a day, I smoke and I have cut down from 12 to 5 a day, eventually I will stop but it takes time so you are doing really well.

Of course you should get a check up. Whether it has anything to do with smoking or not, if you are not feeling well and are worried about your health, you should always get it checked out. I would encourage everybody to do this - if it's something serious, then you will find out (the sooner, the better). If it turns out that nothing is wrong or it's not something serious, then you will feel much better.

If you are worried go find out. The worry it's self can make you sick. Always listen to your intuition, think how badly you would feel if you really were sick.
