For the reason that many people have computers now, there are fewer and fewer cinema-goers and the cinema is slack. The film tickets are too expensive, while it doesn't cost so much to watch it on our computer. Some people think it is time-consuming and inconvinent to go to the film.Nevertheless,it is very convinent to watch films at home. You needn't go out but just need to turn on your computer. And you can choose the film which is your favourite. I watch movies on my computer,I have not went to the cinema for a few years. What about you?

i support cinema, for me at home is just not the right place. even though i have a big screen television that can be connected to my computer, it is still different to watch it at cinema with the hugge screen, popcorn and just the mood!

I prefer the cinema it is just the excitement of being in the group. I must admit watching it on the computer is properly quieter and more calmer. There is nothing like the popcorn in the theater and the big comfortable seats in the cinema.

I like the movies better than the computer. For one thing, the computer has limited screen size and it does not offer the same sound quality as the theater. The wide screen is always more fun to watch. Besides, I cannot really relax and concentrate on the film if I watch a movie on my computer. There are a lot of distractions around.

I haven't gone to the theater for such along time. And it has nothing to do with money at all. I have a back injury so I don't like having to seat in uncomfortable chairs for that long as I would honestly walk out. I rather watch movies in the comfort of my own home where I can get up and stretch, be as loud as I want and not worry about disturbing others, lay on the couch and of course curl up next to the fiance and cuddle.

I personaly love going to the movies it is costly but i go for the atmosphre, which most of the time is pretty good(not counting the loud and noisy people or the people blocking your veiw). Theres something about the huge screen and the surround sound and the slow dimming of the lights as the movie starts. although alot of people dont like the previews i also enjoy watching those cuz you sometimes get to see the trailer of a movie long before any of your friends have heard of it.

If I find movie really interesting or its worth to spend money on cinema then I go for it after reviewing ratings of new released movie. If I feel it is OK types movie I prefer to watch it on DVDs.

I tend to watch films at home normally we get them on DVD rent them out etc. Cinema is very expensive and with two small children it isnt always easy to go so its much nicer for us to sit at home relax while the children are in bed and watch a film in the comfort of my own home where I can pause it should i need to make a drink!

Neither the nearest cinema is another county, so we just go to the movie store or the grocery store and get a movie. It's easier that way.

Hi there Simon. I think it really depends on the film as some movies are only released on DVD while others are not worth seeing in cinema - the thing is i only go to good movies in cinema as the prices are as you said it quite high and i can't afford to go see movies anytime i feel like it.

Hello simon611 I too haven't been to the cinema for years since my kids were born really. Now I am a single mum it is too expensive to go with my kids or even on my own witha friend because I would have to pay a babysitter as well as the entry to the cinema.

I usually go to the cinema halls towards movies with big openings, different script and celebrities. Nothing can beat the experience of a multiplex. Not the TV or the computer. Also, it's a lot of fun, as it allows a little change and outing with friends and other family members. Even the worst movies can be a lot of fun if you are going with your friends. As I am a complete movie buff, I watch almost 2 movies every three days. And as far as I can calculate. I have watched over 500 movies in the last two years!

Typically watching a computer on the net has become alot more common nowadays but in my opinion it is more of a better feel when you watch it at a cinema

With the constant rise in ticket prices, I hardly go to the cinema these days. I still do, but I select the movies I watch very carefully. It's not like before wherein I'd watch anything in the moviehouse and not feel ripped off. That's where DVDs and online services come in. A movie rented through NetFlix for example, would be way cheaper than the money you'd be forking over for a movie.

Well i like to go to cinema's for movies which i think are really good but ones that i may or may not like i prefer watching it on computer, But i would definitely like to watch movies in cinema halls because when i watch movies on computer i keep fast forwarding the movies which actually spoils the experience for me

Theatres cost too much at this point. I watch on my computer and tv through Netflix. They have a watch Now feature for computers. And they send me dvds for the tv. Either is nice.

Cinemas.. Ah.. It has been a long time since I went to one. Life's so busy right now that I cant even spare myself for a breathe. So I see the , movies on my computer at home, relaxing. It's good because you do not have to stand in line for the tickets, or be disappointed if you do not get any at all. And there wont be much of a hurry. And also there wont be a lot of people around you so it sure will be calm and soothing especially if you are just out of work or something. bourne

i havent been in a theater for a long time as well. i guess i dont have the time to watch a movie in the theatre anymore. plus the prices to watch a movie has increased and i sometimes think its unreasonable to pay for that kind of price to watch a movie once... but there are times that has an exception. because sometimes when watching movies on the internet eventhought its connected to the tv or in a big screen it doesnt have a very good quality bec. some of the movies on the internet arent the original film. sometimes also watching a movie over the internet doesnt give a big of an impact on the viewer when the movie is really good. i mean, if the movie is really good its going to be great but being in the movie house watching it in a very big screen and total surround sound makes the movie last longer. but like i said its expensive to watch in the theatre. so its cheaper to watch movies via internet. sometimes when the quality of the movie we watch is really good we take out the projector and watch it outside with the whole family and bring out big speakers. its really fun. watching it at home and we can cook and eat and be noisy whenever we want

When we were still single, my husband and I used to watch movies in cinemas. We check out those good movies which are shown and watch the last full show. Now that we are already married, we became busy with different things. We don't get to watch movies in theaters especially now that we already have a three-week old son. He just rents dvd and we just watch it at home. Well, it takes some time for the movie to be available in dvd's but we have no choice.
