if you're talking about salvation, i.e. is it hard to be saved? then my answer is: it's all up to God; He's the one who saves. :) but if you're talking about living the christian life, i.e. is it hard to live as a christian? my answer is a definite yes. the bible, the apostles, and Jesus Himself tells us that we must be prepared to suffer for our faith. Jesus suffered tremendously and calls us to take up our cross. So did the apostles and the early church. The world is against the Kingdom of God, and the whole system conspires against the saints, because we are not of the world. Furthermore, sanctification involves "dying" to ourselves daily. It couldn't be harder than that for the Bible to use such powerful language. God will put us in tough situations to refine our faith and mold our character. I say, any believer who does not experience hardship and/or struggle in his/her walk with the Lord should examine himself lest he be living under deception. But even though we walk a narrow and arduous path, God sustains us and enables us by His grace. :)

wow, people have actually told you not to become a christian because it's hard? i guess they are right on the part that being a christian is hard because we are basically living in a fallen world where sin is so common and prevalent. Paul says that as christians, we will face constant persecution and struggles. Maybe we don't face outward persecutions like getting stoned or being put in jail. but it's almost the same when the world tells us to do what we want, enjoy life by indulging in our sinful pleasures. God on the other hand, tells us to be Holy for He is Holy. It is no wonder why we have to struggle everyday as christian Therefore, i would have to say it is hard being a christian. But guess what, God will be with you every step of the way. He even sent us the Holy Spirit to help and guide us along the way. How great is that?

I've always said that it isn't hard. The problem is... is that it's "EFFORTLESS" not to be one! So when you compare the two, from an EFFORTLESS level, being a Christian appears overly burdensome to those not willing to step outside their comfort level. Of course, you and I know that being one, is actually a joy and a blessing. Cheers...

The only things that makes being a Christian hard is your surroundings. As Christians, we have to constantly surround ourselves with those who are like us. Not saying that we can't associate with those who aren't Christian, and I'm not saying that we aren't to witness to others, but for the most part we have to "hang out" with those of like spirits. If you don't so that, it will be easy to fall into the things "of the world." We all have our weakness, but if you are around those who cvan help lift you up, it will be easier to live Christ-like. So at times it may be hard, but ifyou are genuinely living the life, I think it gets easier with time.

To accept Jesus Christ is very hard for one that refuses to do so. But, if you decide to accept him as Christ. It is a very rough road to take and it is very hard. I am a Christian. And everyday is very hard for me. I am unable to be happy like I want to. While other days are so full of joy. But, when you have Christ in your life, then it will be more encouraging to feel his comfort.

Hi, I'm also a Christian, although people say being a Christian isn't the same as being a "Child of God". I've heard people say that anyone can say he or she is a Christian, but they don't live like one. Being a child of God... you live according to the Word of God.I'm 25 and I've grown up in a Christian home. I was babtised in Jesus name in 1996 April.I don't find it hard to be a Christian, I believe it's a privilege to know God.It isn't always easy as Satin would do anything in his power to win our souls. And obsticles do come our way. But yet again if you are commited in living right, anything is possible through Jesus that gives us strengh.
