What is your favorite English dubbed anime? Who is your favorite English dub actor and favorite role they played? Favorite U.S based anime company? My favorite english dubbed anime are Wolf's Rain, Yu Yu Hakusho, Inuyasha (ignoring Kagome's screechy voice. .), Full Metal Alchemist, and Fruits Basket. My favorite voice actors would have to be Vic Mignogna (Edward, Tamaki), Travis Willingham (Roy, Mori), Luci Christian (Hunny), Kirby Morrow (Miroku), Todd Haberkorn (Ichimoku Ren, Hikaru), Johnny Yong Bosch (Kiba), and Crispin Freeman (Tsume). My favorite dubbing anime companies would have to be Bandai and Funimation. I'm a fan of original seiyuus too, but it seems that a lot of dubs have gotten bad reps just because they don't live up to the expectations of the fans, but I think there are good dubbed anime out there. How about you? Do you feel the same as me and support both dubbed and subbed anime?

Paul Dobson. My older kids are not into anime. My 10 year old and 6 year old love it. But I have to check what they watch. I love Inuyasha. The strongest language they use is Dam*n and the violence is in part with the plot. Of course, I also let them watch Pokemon and bakal-something or other. LOL. That is their latest. I think that one of the voice over actors is Paul dobson, although I have not watched the show to the credits. Paul Dobson is a wonderful actor and he can bring the Japanese charactor to life without compromising the original intent of the script. He pronounces the words right(I havve watched the japanese original) and it feels real. I find myself watching this show before my kids do, just to see what will happen. I look foward to future episodes.

No doubt. I dig a deep sexy voice and I won't tell the girls why I love Inuyasha so much. LOL. He is a great reason. I actually, also like the voice of Richard Ian Cox, who plays Inuyasha. He, I think, also does the voice of Dan in Bakagan. Yeah, I figured out the name of the show. LOL. I'm not as old as i think I am. LMAO. I also, look forward to future Inuyasha episodes. My youngest girls love anime, and there is little in the genre that I can let them watch.

Haha, yes him and David Kaye are a couple of the main reasons I watched Inuyasha haha, I love deep and sexy voices too. xD I like Richard Cox's voice too, because he reminds me of the original Japanese voice actor in a way, with that gruff and brash tone in his voice. And lol Dan. xD I've watched a couple of Bakugan episodes but can never get the names straight. And future episodes you mean of the dub? The anime series in Japan has technically ended, at episode 167, and the end was really disappointing. I heard they released one more OVA though called the Black Tetsusaiga, but I can't find it anywhere for stream online. . .raw or subbed. A lot of people are hoping for another season of Inuyasha though, because the manga ended awhile back, with a close-ended ending.

Thanks for the response! I am also familiar with Paul Dobson's voice acting, and I think he does an incredible job at whom he voice acts haha. I loved his role Naraku in Inuyasha and this one guy in Gundam 00. Definately one of the sexiest voices in English voice acting. ;)

Awesome. Most of them I recognize haha. I loved Rurouni Kenshin, and all those Studio Ghibli animated films. And in my opinion when people cast voice actors for any Gundam series, it is always a great cast. Thanks for your response. ^^

i can respect anime remaining in their original language but i friggin hate subbed anime. the whole reson i watch it instead of read the manga is so i don't have to read ican just pay attention to the pictures and the story. dubbed still cool most of the time i think.

Did you know that Vic Magnogna appeared in Ireland recently at the annual Irish anime convention Eirtakon, no joke he did an audio commentary to an episode of full metal alchemist and was signing autographs. I was there and hes a lovely guy am sure he thought it strange for loadsa anime fans and cosplayers watching him eat his dinner and lunch lol. He was also on stage for the closing ceremony. He said he was very impressed by the level of dedication and on the organizational skills of the staff,he said he had been to cons in America that were going for twice as long as ours and they weren't nearly as well organized.( Iam from northern Ireland by the way) Anyway some dubs just butcher anime but some anime sound ok English dubbed like in the case of fruits basket, desert punk and full metal panic.Personally I would love to meat someone like Alison Keith or another English voice over from Golden boy or Evangelion.

Oh really? Wow that's awesome. Yeah I wish the Anime Expo here was a bit more organized. . .there was a huge delay in the showing of the S.K.I.N concert in 2007 because of the disorganization. . .had to wait in line with a bunch of rabid fangirls just to be able to see them haha. It was so worth it though. And you're lucky getting the chance to watch him eat. He never stays long enough for us American fans to see him. . .though its probably because fans here will probably jump him the moment he lets his guard down .

Yeah we did have like bouncers/staff member during the signing and when people wanted to get pictures taken with him he was nearly jumped then but all the rest of the time everyone was pretty civilized. There wasn't too many people there only about 800 or so over the weekend. Its nice for people to come so far ror such a small convention though. Eirtakon are hoping to get another voice actor for next year also.
