Today I lost a shoe

The dogs were too silent; so I decided to see what they were up to. The little one was not to be seen; I guess she was exploring some corner of the garden. Tina, of course, was sitting in the middle of the car porch, eyes bright with mischief. All around her were shreds of a shoe...my shoe! It took me some time to recognize exactly what had been chewed! Tina is confined to the car porch; so she cannot get at the shoes. How did the shoe reach Tina? I guess the little one, Gypsy, carried it to her, and Tina just tore it to bits.*SIGH* I guess I have to suffer all this in silence if I want my dogs.;) Nopes, I did not scold Tina...the poor thing has absolutely no brains, and she wouldn't understand why I am upset. I am sure she believes I chew shoes for dinner too. So, what has your dog chewed recently? Lost any shoes?

Hello friend. I am sorry to hear that one of your shoes was being chewed by your dog. I guess that she needed badly something to play with or eat to make her teeth feel good? hehehehe. Anyway, then you have got a chance to get a pair of new shoes. Yes?

I haven't got a dog at the mo. But when I was a child our dog was always running off with my slippers and putting them in his bed ready for a good chew

well thats true that you cant really blame the dogs for chewing your shoe.... we should be more carefull next time in deciding where to put our things so they are far out of reach of our dogs... and i make sure i do that so now my things have stopped being chewed up btu in the list includes my cell phone charger and my entire mattress was chewed up too !! but that was almost two years ago... this doesnt happen anymore!!

My dog like to bite the shoes too, we used to keep the shoes in the house when she was younger. She has grown up and she is one year old now. Recently, she seems to behave good, so I tried to put my slippers in the yard. For a few days, she was not interested in my slippers. So I thought she doesn't bite the shoes anymore. But I was wrong. One morning, I found one of my slippers was 'broken'. She still likes to bite the shoe. My dog will chew whatever within her catch, sometimes the postman didn't put the letters in the mailbox but just left them on the gate, and my dog is manage to get the letters and my letters are gone. She used to tear one of my favorite books before too, that was my mistake, as I put it in the yard and forgot to bring it back home.

Hi positiveminded, Ohhh I think that is so funny, how sweet! I would put away the shoes as soon as you take them off where the dogs ca't get to it, buy them an old shoe so they can chew them to their hearts content, he hehe. Tamara

What wonderful dogs you have! Thankfully my Sophie couldn't reach the shoe rack when she was a puppy inside our house because she's afraid of the stairs. Now that she's grown up, she's outside already but not before breaking a few vases and tearing apart a few of my Final Fantasy posters. In fact, it was the last vase breaking that my mom decided Sophie's too much to handle inside the house. It was my mom's idea not to leash the dog before, by the way. The way she reacted when the vase was shattered and her subsequent leashing of our dog made me laugh a lot. Lol.

yep, I bought a pair of walking shoes for the summer.. still in the shoe box and came home and placed the box(in a bag) on the kitchen table. Same thing I was sleeping and thought how quiet the dogs had been. then I wake up to find the dogs eating my brand new shoes(well just one). and the box was ripped to shreds. as I figure it -- the cats jumped on the table (sometimes they curl up there for a nap) and they pushed the box onto the floor and upon investigating the noise (which I slept thru) the picked up the box and checked out what was in it.. guess it was good, they removed the lining and chewed the rest. I really don't know who did it - I assume it was one of my 2 puppies who are now a year and a half old. but I am sure they will continue to chew as long as i keep leaving stuff around for them...lol
