Do you have any writing aims?

I have been a professional writer for nearly two years now; however, I was more into copy editing during the initial phases of my freelancing career. Later, I turned to article writing. I still remember the difficulties I had when I wrote my first article. My problem was not writing itself, but writing fast. My clients expected around ten articles a day, and I could, with great difficulty, produce five. Today, I can write ten short articles in around three to four hours. Writing fast has become that easy for me. Of course, I am talking about writing SEO articles for the Internet. Writing for magazines and research journals would require more research and effort. I read somewhere that it is possible to churn out ten or more articles in around an hour. Do you think this is possible? I guess you could do it with a speech recognition software. :) However, I have made this one of my writing aims. I would really love to learn to write around ten articles within an hour. That way, I would be able to write a lot. What are your writing aims? Cheers and happy mylotting

Hi positiveminded, Well, you are very clever to do all that writing, I can only manage to write a poem once in while and I haven't done that for a long while now. Tamara

Wow, it is against Mylot guidelines? I had no idea. But people do post their recipes and poems here...I have seen too many around. Maybe I will either PM as you say or post it elsewhere. :) Cheers and happy mylotting

Hi positiveminded, Don't put your poems up on Mylot as it can be copyied and Mylot might delte it as I don't think you are allowed to do that, as they don't allow recipe, you can send a private message though. Tamara

My goals, as a writer, are basically to continue trying to improve and grow WITH my works. I guess this isn't very ambitious but it's a lifelong pursuit, so I'm sure it'll keep me busy. Someday I'd love to write an entire novel in a week. So far, my best time in writing a novel's been a month. I figure if I got to concentrate daily as much as I want, I could probably cut that time at least in half... ^_^ but I'll see how well I do that way, when I see that, I guess.

I have been trying to write two or more article in a day. That too seems difficult if the word limit is around 600 words. I give much importance to adding lot of information to may articles. Finding the information itself takes time and everything put together takes longer time. I am not sure if I can churn 10 articles a day at any point of my life. May be some day, I will give it a try. Afterall, practice is what makes us perfect.

One article of between 400 and 600 words takes me hours to complete. I can do the research and write quite quickly but I spend more time editing, revising, improving, and rewriting until I feel satisfied enough with it. I have also worked as a copy editor, and I think this is why I am very critical of my own work and I can easily spend more time editing it than I do in writing it! The most I have been able to submit in one day is four articles. I would like to churn out at least four every day, but I am not yet at that stage. You give me hope that I can achieve it within two years. I have been writing articles for less than a year.

Hello dear, never put in that much of effort for low-paid, keyword-stuffed SEO writing. However, I would put in that much of work if it is a highly paid magazine article. :) http://www.goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=1240832 Above is one I "scribbled." LOL!! Not one of my best, but still I love it!

Wow! Writing 10 articles in an hour? I could probably do two in a hour if I have at least done some prior research on them and at least know what I intend to write. You are truly inspiring. Do you have any tips on how to write SEO articles?

I have heard that you can write ten articles per hour; but I haven't reached that stage yet. I would like to. So far, I can manage three to four an hour... the speed has gone up owing to a slave driver client of mine. :) Check comment to response 2. I have posted a link there. That's a piece I scribbled. It is about fast writing. LOL!! Cheers and happy mylotting

I'm usually a slow writer, and probably always will be, which is okay because I'm only trying to earn a supplement to my income, not make a living. I'd go mad writing the kind of stuff you do, though I admire anyone who can do it, especially if they can keep at it day after day. I have a couple of paid blogs that let me write more freely than would be possible if I were writing for clients with specific requirements. I also write for Associated Content, though I left it for a long time and am just getting back to it. I don't mind doing SEO writing once in a while, but one article every few days would be about as much as I could stand. The equivalent of three or four articles a day is my limit, and I don't usually even do that much.

Wow!! I wish I could write like you do. Well, anyway, I am not a professional writer though I have several articles published in some websites but I don;t consider myself a professional writer but I am trying my best to improve my writing. My writing aim of course is to write good articles in an hour. I will not aim for 10 that is too much. I will be contented with 3-4 quality work in an hour.. well not plenty of words..maybe more than a hundred? that would be cool..

I would really like to get into freelance writing. My goals are to develop a client base and break into the medical writing market. Write now, I'm just doing typical stuff like Associated Content. I'm pretty busy with school, but I'm looking at freelance writing as something I will break into gradually.
