bpo is called as business process outsourcing and this is the only thing i know about bpo. i feel you need to work at odd hours in a bpo and the shifts will really make you sick. however i donno whether it is good or bad...

Hi Vandhu, You are wrong on this part. If you are working in BPO does not mean that you have to work in odd hours. You can get Indian BPO's also to work but the Indian BPO's are not too much profitable, so most of the companies go for the US or UK clients who pay in dollars. To meetup and do the work of your clients you need to work in odd hours.

BPO stands for Business Process Outsourcing. It is becoming very very popular right now. For example, my company outsources those who does work for payroll, they usually hire a BPO to do this. My husband works for a BPO also but their team is composed of all lawyers and they are working on a legal aspect of their client's requirements.

Yup, this is correct. To add to this explanation, BPO is letting a third-party company do an important process in the business' operation hence the name and acronym. The most famous BPO are the call centers. They are outsourced customer service agents.
