Good news about doggies, too!!

I do tend to focus on cats, I know. I love the furry little things. But, when a good story about a dog happens, especially when that dog falls into my kind of cuteness range, I'm happy to share it as well. 
Meet Tootsie! Tootsie was dognapped from her Pleasantville, NJ, yard when she was 6 months old. Her owners thought they'd never see her again. Fortunately, they'd had a microchip implanted. She was found as a stray in Pittsburgh recently. What a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I've never had any animal with a microchip, although I think my parents did adopt a Cairn who had one. They obviously are beneficial. Do your pets have them? Are you considering getting them? Have you had a lost pet found and returned?

The only thing I've heard about them is that they are recommended, especially because of events like this. But, I can't afford even a check up, let alone a chip, so my cats are chip-free. But, they're generally not outdoors cats, although Shady will spend warm days sleeping in the grass in the shade of the lilac tree.

Awww... we have one tiny chug and she seems to want to zoom out the door everytime we open it. Fortunately, she stays in when we tell her. I've thought about microchips but haven't really considered it that much.

Awww!! how wonderful after 5 long years to be reunited with their pet!!
I've always wanted to get mine with them but can't afford to do it on one much
less 5 pets but I think its a great idea to do that;
