Runescape or World of Warcraft?

Just recently, my friends and i found ourselves caught up in an argument - around 1 third of us are into Runescape (aka Rs), whilst the other 2 thirds are into World of Warcraft (aka WoW). They recommend to those of us who play Rs that we should switch to WoW, because it's a better game overall. There seems to be a cultural divide between the two games though: the majority of white people play Rs or nothing at all, whilst the asians play WoW (not trying/meaning to be racist here at all). Do you rather playing Runescape, World of Warcraft, something different altogether, or nothing at all, and have you too noticed a cultural divide between many games in recent times?

I've played RuneScape for a long time and I know how World of Warcraft works. =P If I had to choose between the two, I would probably go with RuneScape, but only because it's cheaper. I think that World of Warcraft is a much more enhanced and professional looking game. If I was willing to spend money on it, I would probably play it instead of RuneScape. However, I've quit RuneScape as well. xD I don't really see any point in MMORPGs because they're just the same thing repeated over and over, and tend to get boring. I don't really see any MMORPGs as as a game that can match others, and they tend to waste my time because I play way too much if I get too into them. o_o I haven't noticed the cultural divide you speak of between World of Warcraft and RuneScape. O.o I know people from many different places that play one game or the other. It's interesting that you mention it, although I haven't realized it from my experience. =P Between RuneScape and World of Warcraft, right now I would probably choose no MMORPG at all. =P

I would play runescape, its way more cheaper than world of warcraft and you can do so many things on it

i agree with zezloler, i played runescape for probably 2 years then i got a free pass for worldofwarcraft havnt played runescape since, the graphics and game itself are much bigger/better than runescape also i havnt noticed a cultural divide either.

I play WOW than Runescape, lot's of friend spend most of their time playing WOW, than any other games. I don't the reason but they really it.
