who else is going to be eating leftovers this weekend?

What are you going to do with them? I have a turkey carcass and I'm going to make soup. And then I still have Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings at least one or two times over plus enough meat for sandwiches. At least the bill for the big feast will be covering the grocery bill for the next couple of days!

Its good to have leftovers Dawn. It saves on cooking which I love. I like to make a huge pot of curry with my turkey left overs at Christmas. That soup sounds good. Please send me some as it is -2 here and I am going to die of the cold and I cannot stop shivering. Have a great weekend and enjoy all that food.

I noticed the 3000 this morning, thanks. I'd send you some soup but I think it would be rotten by the time it got there. :-(

No leftovers here! I left them all at my brother's house when I left last night. Well, except for 2 slices of pumpkin pie my son decided he needed to take with him. He had already eaten 2 slices of pie while we were there. I am sure he will be sick of pumpkin pie for awhile. Have fun with all those leftovers. If you start getting sick of turkey you could always freeze some for use later.

Those would be a little bit harder to salvage.

Yep there's a thought, although the turkey probably won't be wasted, more likely all the yams and peanut salad and stuffing and so on...

I did today. My boyfriend made a pasta with spaghetti, cream of mushroom soup and turkey. It was pretty good. I am lucky to be with such a fabulous cook. We will probably have that tomorrow to. We at his moms yesterday and she sent us home with a huge bag of leftovers.

I will be eating left overs, I went to my sisters for Thanksgiving so I am going to eat the food I cooked at home today and some tomorrow. The meat that is left will be frozen and I will use it to make sandwiches for work next week.

We are cooking our meal on Sunday. The leftovers will be for next week. I plan to keep the carcass for soup and have pot pie, sandwiches, and turkey a la king.

My husband doesn't like turkey and we usually end up doing ham too. But this year my mom wanted to try something different. We had prime rib! No left overs! We downed that!

It was the first time we have ever done this. My parents have us over for Christmas eve every year. Then we go to my inlaws for Christmas day. My mom and dad have my grandma over on Christmas day for prime rib every year. We are never there at that time and she thought maybe we would appreciate it for thanksgiving. Actually, I think it was a way for my dad to get prime rib twice in the holiday season. They ordered it special and seasoned from a local meat market. It was fabulous!
