I survived shopping on black Friday!!!

I didn't go this morning. However, my husband did. I didn't feel like going for one thing, and two I worked for a bit. I know that he's getting a microwave at walmart and he's still not back. he left at four this morning to get there at five, that was four hours ago lol. I see we are going to be broke when he gets back. LOL maybe I should have went.

Glad to hear you survived. I was at Walmart at 9pm last night picking something up for my brother. It was pretty calm then. The lady in line ahead of me said that there were already people with carts full of stuff that were waiting until 5 am to go through the checkouts. Now that is CRAZY! Sitting at Walmart for 8 hours to get something a little cheaper. I did not even attempt shopping today. I am broke anyway.

I did my very first Black Friday at Walmart this morning and OMFG!!! I live in a smaller farming type area and I NEVER THOUGHT it would be a mad house but sure enough it was CRAZY!! I did get what I wanted though which is good....I dont think I would EVER try to do it in a big city though...I can't even begin to imagine what that would be like!!

glad you got a good deal. i didn't have anything i wanted to get, so i was sleeping lol. i did go last year with my daughter, we left my house at 11:30, the first store we wanted to go to opened at midnight last year.......yep, scrapbooking lol. she did manage to get every thing on her list last year.

Happy to hear that you survived the mad Black Friday rush. I was looking at the news where a man had a heart attack, the crowd had gotten totally out of control. I did not do Black Friday this morning, I have only done it once, and was not a happy camper, too many people, grabbing, pulling, pushing, really not my cup of tea. Thankfully, you were able to get something that you had your eye on , if not all of the items. I was up at five, but get up early everyday. Since you are now out of the mad rush, I hope you have a great day, and enjoy the camera if you bought it for yourself.

I actually had to work at 4am this morning in retail, so I got the rush of the black friday shoppers. It was actually pretty calm once we opened our doors, but apparently there was one store in the same block as ours that had the cops called over because a customer noticed a baby sitting in a parked car unattended. Also, apparently there was two fights at stores in our town, one person actually got taken to the hospital after being stabbed with a pencil. It was pretty chaotic but we weren't that bad.

I actually didn't sleep before we went shopping. I had taken a nap the evening before so I wasn't that tired when we went out. We only went to Walmart and I had ordered one item online for a bit cheaper so I didn't have to worry about that. We were looking for clothes, a camera, a shop vac and some video games. We got everything we wanted.

Hello ebsharer. It is so good that you have got what you wanted from Walmart, the camera you like. Well, I have been to Walmart for three times only, but it is not in my town. It is in another two cities in my province. I visited Walmart twice in a same city, and another time in another city. I like Walmart for it is so huge with so many things there for us to choose. I hope that there will be one in my town sometime with good luck.

I have never shopped on black friday. Not really sure why because I truly love a bargain and have no problem getting up real early. In the past I have had to work the day after Thanksgiving and if I had it off it just did not appeal to me to go shopping on that day. It was never a tradition with my parents and I don't like crowds so that might be why I never have gone. Sounds like you got some good deals and that is great. Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

I am glad that you got the camera that you wanted. I dont shop on black friday. there isent anything I want bad enough to face the madness. lol!

me and my mom got up at 345 and went to walmart at 5am and it was crazy... but we got really lucky and found a parking spot right in front! without having to look around either lol i thought that was awesome. lol the store was freaking jam packed though.. so hard to move anywhere and i was really starting to get annoyed with people PUSHING me when clearly there was no openings. and i was getting kind of nervous too because people kept looking at me because i had the LAST hdtv... i thought for sure someone was gonna end up trying to take it from me and i couldn't find my mom anywhere!! i actually almost just left it because i had been standing in the mens clothing area for an hour waiting and hoping that my mom would come into eye sight at some point because i couldn't walk anywhere with a kart and i couldn't leave the kart because of the t.v lol but oh well..she finally showed up but i am very happy today is over and done with and we ended up with 2 HDTV's.. hooked up the one in the living room. it's really nice the other one is for my bro for xmas. I got a hoodie and a shirt and my dog a toy. and thats all we got. i think? lol a lot of the stuff we wanted wasn't on sale. but they will be having a lot more deals and some lady said watch for the sunday deals. they are suppose to be better? i don't know... but we will see! trying to get elmo live and canon xs on sale.

I did a little shoppng online, but I didnt really have that much to spend so I couldnt get anything real big. I would never go into a store on black friday. It's just not worth it in my opinion

I got a deal on some emergency radios for our emergency car kits. But other than that I didn't do any shopping, I prefer to stay in because it can be a mad house out there. I have a story about a friend of mine that actually camped out one thanksgiving to get a big screen television. when the store opened she and her husband ran to the TV's just in time to get the last one. Her husband turned around and was punched in the face. The man that punched him, had also camped out, and claimed he had been there an hour before my friend so he deserved the TV. It turned into a fist fight. While the men were duking it out, she pushed the TV up front and bought it. I'm happy for her, but kind of sorry for the guy that camped out only to get a couple of black eyes for his trouble.

Someone tried to break into my van and somehow it drained my battery. A neighbor tried to jump it but it didn't work. So I did not get to go out at all. I need to get it fixed soon. I am missing work.

well there was nothing that I was really after but I got up at 4:30 and shopped at K-Mart I decided not ot shop at Walmart this year.I have almost everything that I need and didnt spend near the money I have in the past.You have a great night.

Hi ebsharer, Shopping! Black Friday!!! DOH!!! I knew I was forgetting something!!! I even did my pre-shopping last night! LOL!!! As for what I DID do, I got to my local museum 30 minutes before they officially opened to do some volunteer work. When we had our morning meeting, they said that we weren't expecting many people today. In the first hour, we had 100 guests. By mid-day, we had 800! I might go shopping tomorrow, or next week or something. No big deal. Happy MyLotting!
