When u reply to a post in mylot do you expect the user to add comment to your post or you just write off the reviews and move on to the next one?well i personally in some cases expect the user to add comment for my post so that the question that the person is asking is well clarified..in many cases i dont expect it..

I'm at a toss with this one. In any of my started threads I always try to respond to the users who took the time to respond to my posts. I find it a common courtesy to let them know what your writing about is something your truly interested in not just posting for the sake of posting you know? When I post I don't expect people to think along the same lines as I do but it does make me wonder did this person just post to post and are they really interested in my response? It just makes me weary when I respond to their topics again. Mind you not everyone can respond to every single reply which is fine. I more or less look to see if the poster has responded at least to a few users. The other thing though that I've noticed as well is posters who give generic messages. Those I don't care for much either. It seems so easy to just repeat what you say over and over again. I feel it takes away from the discussion than to just have a "thanks for responding have a good day" type of thing. Either way I personally try to make it a point to respond to most if not all responders.

Ms.Amandabarnhart you are really a gem of a person..you have told that you will reply to all the persions who have answered to you..not many in mylot are doing that and only a few are doing like that..i tend to reply to all but unfortunately most of the replies would be similar but i reply to the different ones that i get and i maintain that to encourage the user and appreciate the user so that many people would be benefitted like me..

Many thanks for your kind compliments. It's not only out of courtesy but just because i have the gift of gab and always have something to add :) as you can see here. I just find it fun to be able to tell the user what you thought of their response individually. Like I said though I do understand it's not possible some times to respond to every single person and that I really do understand. If mine isn't responded to that's fine I'll cry in a corner then move on. But so long as I at least see the user responding to others It doesn't make me think they're not listening :)

I always expect the user to comment on my reply to his/her post because I eagerly look for how my views touch others. I always strive to learn new things and explore ways to refine my ideas, knowledge and concepts. If I get more comments and reactions from several sources, I get the scope to analyze my viewpoints and concepts in new perspectives. More our knowledge gets refined, more effective we become in expressing ourselves and creating values in the society. Thanks.

That was a really good way of putting it. And I guess is how I was trying to explain it. It's always great to learn new things and how our views are taken by others. When a user doesn't respond we wonder if they even read it.

Expect a reply. That is something I didn't put in my mind. I don't expect anybody post a comment on my comment but I expect my friends to reply to my discussions. Hehehe ... Take care =)

Sometimes I expect the person to respond to me. If I took my time writing a thoughtful response, it would be nice. I also have very fragile feelings. *LOL* But, there are times when a response really is not necessary. So, I just try to go with the flow. :)

It depends on the discussion actually. If it is one that is asking a specific question and wants answers id expect a response if the person didn't understand something... other than that in most cases i don't expect a response. I respond to a new comment on any discussion of mine if i have something to add, otherwise i don't... im not going to post a reply with the words "lol" =P

I agree with this. It all just depends. Sometimes you need the user to respond. Sometimes it's just not necessary. It all just depends. :)

Hello, balacancer22. When I am responding to a topic, I know that there are chances that the user/creator will comment on my response. But I do not wait for it. I keep responding other discussions normally, knowing that some of the users will comment and some will not. Then, on a certain date, I check my mailbox and see the hundreds of mails telling: "Hello, Munhozmib. Username has commented on your response.". Then I spend my day commenting back where is necessary, or just deleting the messages if it is not necessary to comment back. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

It's nice if they do. But I don't EXPECT it. There are friend requests to deal with and other discussions. Not to mention other people who respond. If they find the time, great. If not I understand.

I expect the poster to reply to people in the discussion but not to everyone. Mind you I try to reply to everyone even though it can take me 3 weeks on a big discussion. I just keep doing a couple every day. I find that I cannot reply to everyone on the same day as I have trouble answering that many posts on the same subject but I do eventually get to most people.

Hi balacancer22.. I sometimes do especially if the post tackles more on personal issues. There are really some users who will say thank you and comment on your response. Its a nice way though since you would know that your ideas or opinions have been appreciated in one way or another.

Well I think it depends. If I have given my personal opinion in a quite detailed way I quite like the person asking the question to let me know what they think of my opinion. However, if the response is just abrief answer I think soemtimes it's not possible to then comment on an answer because there isn't anything else to say.

It is but natural to expect a response to your replies. sometimes it happens and at times it does not. But even if i get no replies from the person who started the discussion, I love to read the responses of otehr people and how they reacted to the discussion. That gives you tremendous feedback and you come to know how people think.

yes, i would do so and i think it is only right. my aim in mylot daily is to try to reply to those who had replied to my post or to the discussion i started. since others can make an efforts to come into my thread to response, it is only rightful that i make the same efforts to reply them as basic courtesy, dun you think so. if that is the case, then i think everyone should do the same and not just start discussion for the sake of earning. it is also meant for sharing and getting reply to query or to clear some doubts

For me, i just post my responses only to express my opinion or thoughts regarding the discussion without waiting a comment from the one who posted the topic. But i also appreciate if i get a reply from my responses. Happy posting balacancer!

Sometimes it is nice to hear what the person thinks about your suggestions. I don't expect it at all it is just nice when it happens. Some of the discussions I have posted to are asking for information or ideas and in those situations it is nice to get a response for sure.

for me i would love to receive a comment from my response so that i would know if i have given the sufficient answer to his question. and just to acknowledge the person that you have read his response, even just a short sentence will do.

I do expect a reply from the user when I have posted the reply taking my valuable time. Because if the user is not going to respond it's a waste of time I believe. But still the necessity of replying may depend. The user may reply to only those quality posts which deserves a reply.
