I recently read 'The Poisonwood Bible' by Barbara Kingsolver, a book that I think I will always remember. It was sad, funny and even upsetting in places but it held me captivated throughout. It's a book that I would recommend to anyone and I'd also recommend another of Barbara Kingsolver's books, 'Prodigal Summer'. What is the most enjoyable book you have ever read?

I too love the classic books. Besides the ones you've mentioned I love 'Jane Eyre' and 'Sense and Sensibility'. They are books I can read over and over. Happy mylotting

I am not a reader, in fact I hate reading but after my father passed away I was told to read a book called "Embraced By The Light" by Betty E Eades I think it was, and this book comforted me with my loss, I think I read the book in one day I just couldn't put it down...I have lent this book to a few people who have lost people, it is a very comforting book.

Hi lilaclady I'm so pleased that you found a book to help you when your father passed away. I haven't heard of this book but I shall look out for it. Thank you for your response and I wish you well.
