for me Recycling. i like ti think that we are quite good at it. we don't use water when we don't need to, we use energy-saving light bulbs, and we always re-use our plastic bags.

Our community has started its campaign against plastic bags to be used in markets and groceries and I actively participate on it. I see to it that every time I go to the grocery store, I have my recyclable bag with me for my purchases. This way, I will not contribute to anymore plastics as garbages and will not use paper either for the packaging of my grocery stuff. I also recycle plastic bags. I also encourage my family, relatives and friends to do the same. I hope that my little way of doing things like these will help save our planet.

I never gaved importance to caste or religion. I always have the habit of avoiding plastic materials in 90% cases. but here i can show the ways, to save the planet. the lines below are not mine. i just got from one website before which is still in documents folder and i read that often too.. to remember those important points. 1. Change to Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs. 2. Buy a Solar Oven 3. Stop Using Washing Powder 4. Use a Programmable Thermostat 5. Avoid Gas-powered Lawnmowers 6. Walk or Cycle to the Shops 7. Only Start Your Car When You're Ready to Drive It 8. Pack a Lunch 9. Clothes: Let the Wind Do It for You 10. Kill the Lights 11. Harvest the Rain 12. Grow Your Own. 13. Unplug When You Go 14. Heat Your Water through the Ground 15. A/C Is Better than Heating 16. Wash Colder 17. Eat Less Meat 18. Waste Not, Spend Not 19. When It Comes to Technology, Newest Usually Means Most Expensive 20. Make Fashion Fit You 21. Work in the 21st Century 22. Shop in the 21st Century 23. Carry a Tote Bag 24. Clean the House with Cents, not Dollars 25. Go Green. In the bad old days, you paid extra for an eco-conscious lifestyle. Now, eco-friendliness is the norm - and in more and more cases, not choosing green is the way to overspend. Choose green, save money, help the planet. There is no catch.

The best way to save the planet is to create massive campaign and inform more number of people about the seriousness of the environmental crisis, related problems and issues directly affecting human lives. Creating awareness among the common mass about their role and responsibilities to protect and nurture environment is vitally important. More the people realize the gravity of the problem and crisis, their joint action will greatly contribute to save the planet from all crises. Thanks.

Me i don't smoke so i guess that's my biggest contribution to save the planet because smoke kills our ozone layer and that's our biggest problem now in the aspect of environment. That's one person less so that's could be large volumes of smoke prevented from hitting the ozone layer.

We recycle just about everything and if we can recycle thn we burn thm in our fireplace (we think that it would be better thn filling up land with rubbish). We alco have a compost and we have a gargen wehere we grow for ourselves and our near and dear ones. We also have a lovely flower garden. We also have lots of indoor plants to create oxygen for us. We also use energy saving blubs and we dont bother bringing plasitcs bag home as we have some reusalbe shopping bags. But do you thing we should turn off all our gadgets when we are not using them. Is it better to leave the gadets on as they would last longer. I have have started a discussing about this pls go to my profile to respond.

in my case i do segregation i segregate our waste from biodegradable to non biodegradable. i also recycled things like plastic bags as you said, bottles etc. i turn off the lights during day time and turn on only if necessary and we don't use incandescent lamps because it consume more energy that fluorescent lamps.
