Is anyone else a member of the quarterlife.com community? If so, what is your primary channel? I'm on there mostly to get critiques on my writing although those are kind of few and far between. Look me up if you want...I use this same name everywhere I go unless someone else got to it first (surprisingly, I have encountered this problem).

quarterlife is an online community similar to MySpace or Facebook but it is primarily for artists. It was started as a parallel to the show of the same name, which first aired episodes on MySpace and then on the ql site and then it got picked up by NBC but didn't last long on there. The first season is still up on the site and can also be downloaded from iTunes.... The show and website were created and produced by Marshall Herskovitz and Edward Zwick, who also produced My So Called Life and thirtysomething. Background out of the way ....the site offers members a chance to network with other people (like Marshall and Edward) in their chosen industry. The idea in the beginning was to feature "User Generated Content" on the show when the second season aired (writers working on the scripts, photographers, painters, etc. having their pictures hanging on the characters' apartment walls) but now there is a question about funding for the second season so in the meantime they are featuring user made videos on the site and giving as much exposure to the other artists as possible. Even without the show the site is still pretty cool. It's mostly forum-based but you can post drawings, paintings, videos, stories, whatever you are into and have other people critique them.
