Have you been targeted by a malicious person in the internet?

Today, after logging in to Ciao, I was flabbergasted when somebody started putting bad comments on my reviews and accusing me that I'm "a copy link in internet" (duh?) and that I should be banned (again, duh?). I don't have an idea who this person is and why he has done what he did. I challenged him to post proof because those are grave accusations. He hasn't answered the PM I sent him. I have already reported the abuse to the Ciao center and I hope they take action on this soon. As a published magazine and newspaper writer in my country, I am one of those persons who HATE plagiarists. A lot of my articles have been reposted in blogs and websites without my permission. And now somebody is unfairly accusing me of something I would never do. I can't even begin to comprehend the sickness of some people's minds :(

I still remember how offended I was the first time that someone accused me of having plagiarized an article that I'd written because I'd used a dictionary definition of a word in one line in the article. I hope this all gets worked out to your benefit!

I have twice been targeted by unknown persons on the Internet but not through any review or discussion sites. Whoever it was (or were) sent abusive emails to me. I did not reply because the person(s) may become more abusive. Nor did I report it to the mail service provider. In your case the person could have been envious of your postings. Maybe he thought you would leave Ciao if he was persistent enough. I guess he picked the wrong person.
