Well I know peopel who are not fortunate to have a sewing machine getting out their needle and thread and putting thiei sewing skills ot the test by taking in seams with their hands. Maybe you cna give it a try, just make sure that you have the right needle for the job and a strong thread.

I can sew fairly well but it takes me a really long time!

Step 1- Take a piece of chalk and outline the desired length of your clothing item. Make a thin line on the exterior of the article of clothing. Step 2 - Fold the fabric neatly on the chalk line. Obviously, the excess fabric should be folded inward. Step 3 - Cut off excess fabric before folding inward if this is a large hem (more than an inch). Regardless, you should fold on the chalk line. Step 4 - Tape the folded fabric onto the inside of your clothing article. The tape you choose to use should be very strong, such as electrical tape or duct tape. Press firmly to seal. Step 5- Whenever you have the time to do an official hem, you should do so. This type of hem is temporary, but will get the job done in a fix.

You could try getting the no-sew tubes of fabric glue for it but thats usually just for hems not seams.
