I was hooked when I got my first daytimer. Every year I spend a lot of time looking through all the different organizers. I go to several stores before I decide which one to buy. I have never found one that has all the features that I would like to see, though. I keep saying I'm going to design my own. Maybe this year I will.

Me I never really use an organizer or calender I know my mom does a lot but im not the type of person to write down what I have for the week or the month usally I can remember but maybe once I live on my own I would have to start so I dont forget anything.

I am a list person. Forget the PDA's and "everything" cell phones and all that techno junk - paper and pencil and a actual calender in my hands! I have lists for days and weeks. Things I have to get to buy not this week or within the next few weeks like are repairs. I usually start on Fridays and just have my liston my table and start adding to it for next week. Sunday night (will be doing this when I am done here!) I get another list and seperate into days and start assigning the th ings on my "to do" list to the days of this week depending on what needs to be done and where so as to conserve on gas, time and other related expenses. I'll make a day for this side of town and a day for that side of town. And I list everything "shots" for my twice a week allergy shots, "DQ" for my BOGO free Blizzard treat or other coupons I have like that that are out of the immediate way, but will be up there later this week. "PO" so I stop 3 times a week but only if out that way. I have all the calls I have to make this week which I try to do on Monday to get them out of hte way for the week and also get the appointments made soon as possible... Reight now I have a list of gifts to get and where - so I can add those to my trips to conserve gas. So far... it has worked really well. Like today, I had a BOGO free for tacos at Del Taco, a free movie rental and a BOGO free BLizzard anda those are all out of my general way, but I was up there today for something else, so I stopped at the end and got free lunch, free dessert and free movie, brought it all home and had a movie day! THis just after I hit the 70% off sale at Mervyns and hit a few stores up that way for other things from my list last week! WOrks great for me. Cross off as I go and if things dont' get done today, I just add them to the day of the rest of the week that they will fit it!

I have a Vera Bradley planner that I use to keep things organized! I have to be able to see everything in front of my to stay organized. I cannot use a planner on the computer to keep things organized. My future husband and I also have a white board erasable calendar that we keep in his hallway so we know where each other are..important meetings..etc.

I make to-do lists and keep them nearby. I write them everyday and try to get as many things accomplished as possible. I have one column for what must be done and another for what I would like to do. It keeps me on track when my mind wanders or I'm interrupted by children or phone calls.
