Do you wear any seeing aids (spectacles/contact lenses)?

Even though I am a middle aged man, my eyesight is still 6/6. Many of my friends found it hard to believe me. I dislike the thought of having to wear glasses so I took steps to ensure my eyesight does not deteriorate rapidly. I do a lot of reading and spend many hours in front of the computer. How about you, do you like to wear glasses or contact? Do you like wearing them? Or is your eyesight still sharp? If so, would you like to share any tip? I am sure many of us here would appreciate any working tip.

I have been wearing glasses since I was 5 years old. I wouldn't say that I like or dislike wearing them. I have just gotten used to wearing them as part of my every day life. I have thought about trying contact lenses, but I am to accustomed to my glasses that I think I would just end up wearing them anyway.

Contact lenses have disadvantages in terms of cleanliness. Disposable contact lenses have a limited usage life. After doing the best that I can, I can only pray that I would not be encumbered with seeing aids. Thank you for your response.

I have had perfect vision up until a year ago when I got my eyes tested. I am borderline for needing glasses or contacts, so I did not get any. I think I will need to get some when I go get my eyes checked again, but I am ok with that because I think that glasses are fashionable now and would not mind wearing a pair.

They are fashionable and light, making them more comfortable. But I have seen people feeling lost after they could not find their glasses. This is a situation I am trying to avoid. Thank you for your response.

I do wear glasses ever somce I was 14 and I rarely go out without them. I once ventured outside the house without my glasses and it was weird, I could not see very clearly but I could see enough not to bump into things. Cheers!!!

That was one of the things I did not want to happen to me. How bad is your eyesight now? Are you doing anything to improve it? Thank you for your response.

I have had to wear glasses since I was a teenager when my eyes deteriorated to the point where I could not see long distances. Glasses have improved over the years and are so much thinner and lighter than the old glass lenses and the heavy frames. I do not know what my strength of glasses I need but I know I can see the computer screen without glasses so I am quite short sighted.

Have you tried any eye exercises which may be able to alleviate your problem? The main reason I am concerned with eyesight is the thought of losing or misplacing glasses or contact lenses. Thank you for your response. - rosdimy -
