Discussion - answer - comment This should be a normal procedure. I know we dont always have time to comment every answer we get. But how do you feel when you answer to a discussion and noone reply? If its just a general question like discussion I dont mind. But sometimes when I really express my oppinion, way of thinking, and noone answers (meaning the topic starter) then I feel like my thinking didnt mean anything. Espesially in discussion where someone is asking for opinions so they can either decide easier or just seeking for help. In those discussions I do mind that answers dont get commented. What do you think about this? How do you feel?

I understand how you feel. Try not to take it personally though. The discussion starter has read your response, and perhaps used the information you provided. It is unfortunate they don't reply, but you can't control that. I know I am guilty of not replying to all my responders and I feel bad, but I just don't have that much time. I appreciate and value everyone's input though. Some people reply to everyone and others don't. If I don't get a reply, I just let it roll off my shoulders and down my back. I don't expect replies anymore, that way I am not disappointed and it is a nice surprise when I get one. I hope this helps you be less discouraged. Blessings.

No, I dont take it too personally, its just some times that it bothers me. I guess my problem is I always have great expectations of people and therefor get disappointed more often. I try not to but it does happen. I really need to work on that lol Thanks for your advice ;)

It does bother me when I ask a question in my reply, especially when the post is asking for advice. I know that sometimes people post a discussion and then don't get a chance to log in again for a while but that should really be an exception rather than the rule. I don't comment on every reply I get but I do on the bulk of them.

Same as me really, I too try to answer every comment that 'speaks' to me and the ones I think would really need an answer or rather the answer will somehow either help the other person or explain something, ect. I know its impossible to answer everyone...just cant be done. Thanks jesssp.

I always reply to all the responses that I got on my discussions no matter how long that would take me. If I could not do it on the same day, I would do it later even if it would take months but I will make sure that I reply to all provided that I received the alert in my mail. As far as I know, myLot only send the alert for when the person response for the first time but if the person responded to your reply, then there will be no alert and those are the only ones that I might have missed. Anyway, everybody is different. There are many members who are doing similar things to what I am doing and there are also members who only replied to the first few responses. There are also members who only reply to selected responses and lastly, there are members who would not even reply to any of the responses that he or she gets. There are times where a discussion asked of your opinion and since you know the subject matter pretty well, you gave it your best response ever and to your disappointment, your response was not even acknowledged with a reply from the starter. In this case, I know you and some people might get upset but just do not take it personally as that starter might belong to the type that does not respond and only start... Next time, you can just skip that discussion and do others that you know would always reply. Take it easy and have fun. Cheers!

WOW thats a nice thing of you to do I must admit i dont answer everyone, dont have time, but I do try to answer as much as I can at least in some serious discussions when I know people made an effort to answer, to think, to maybe even look up to find an answer and either help or state an opinion. Its hard with the lack of time though. Thanks for your words and advices ;)

I know what you mean. I don't always get responses. It really only bothers me when I really and truly pour my whole heart and soul into it. I know that we are all pressed on time and whatnot. So I try to not worry about it. :)

Yes, its not like it bothers me everytime I dont get an answer, but some times it does...like for example when you pour your heart out as you said. Oh I know about time limitation...we'd all be here more often if a day had 30 hours at least lol
